You keep insisting on getting into general politics and veer away from the topic of the thread. If you wish to discuss general political corruption and politics in general, we created Outside for that very purpose.
All I did was state that we can't expect much from the FDA due to the corruption of "both" parties.
How is that considered Partisan Politics or "getting into general politics" and what you posted about earlier in this thread about Democrats taking money from Big Pharma not fall into this definition.

Not trying to be difficult, just trying to get clarification as so not to violate ECF rules.

Have to agree. You're pointing out a highly murky double standard. It does present an obstacle to discussion.

No, you didn't. There was no mention of the FDA in either post.
The thread was addressing the FDA and I put in about the bills coming from Congress and not holding faith in the outcome in that post.

I believe you didn't follow the previous post. Or just may have been a causality of the reply I got from it.

Move the entire thread to the OUTSIDE. When a political thread is created it is expected political comments will follow. Shouldn't be a surprise.

Moving threads to the OUTSIDE every time 1 Person voices their Opinion about a Political Party would make the ECF a Much Different Place.

I wonder if that is Really what Members here Want?
It's either that or get threatened with suspensions all the time. That gets old too.

Agreed.

I also think that it is Very Difficult to Discuss a Topic Like Deeming (or the FDA in General) across a Broad Spectrum of People and Not have an Occasional Post where someone Speaks Against one political Party.

Especially when we, as Vapers, have been Getting the Short End of EVERY Stick. And have to Deal with a Landslide of BS that is being Heaped on Us from All sides.

And All because we Found Something that Allowed Us to Quit Smoking.

I couldn't agree more. Makes me wonder if this is the land of the free anymore.

All i know is it's unfair & a very far stretch to consider them essentially the same . We need some people who possess a brain in these powerful positions . As far as i know as of right now , brain is not required.
They are not the same thing nor as the FDA ever stated as much. The e-cigarette is derived
from the source or original product. (the tobacco cigarette) In as much as it is replacing the
tobacco cigarette is all the proof they need to regulate vaping as just another tobacco product.
If not for tobacco cigarettes there would be no concern about vaping.
Remember the deeming regs are on the federal register now. We are not vapers but,
tobacco product users. The courts and Congress will by definition treat us a such.
They have no choice, It's the law.
Like you and everyone else I hope for some sanity. I expect after everything is
said and done we will be in a better position. However I do not believe it will be
because that vaping is different than smoking cigarettes in the eyes of the law.
Th entire deeming regs have to be thrown out. Short of this vaping will be gone
5 years from now unless your insurance will cover it a a cessation device.

I agree, the entire regulations need to be thrown out but sad reality is they won't. Too much money is involved and entire industry surrounding Tobacco and it's effects.

Thus why I am a broken record that we need to prepare and take care of ourselves. With time things may change, but that time will IMO be long past my lifetime.

I've been somewhat lucky in my life. Just a hair too young to be sent to Vietnam and too old to be in the next war. I've been fortunate in this respect. But sadly, I do feel our best days are behind us. I'm not being pessimistic. Just looking around at what I see. We've left a mess for our younger generation. And I don't think it can be cleaned up. Not a $20 trillion mess. We lived good, but it is off the backs of our kids, grandkids, and those yet to be born.

My signature line demonstrates the difference between how we once acted and how we act today. That adventurous, risk-taking, determined, hard working, family-loving DNA that started this country has been diluted.

Yeah, I'm pretty much in the same boat. I was too young for Nam but was in the 90-91 fun. What we are seeing with the FDA is a sign of what happens, I'm going to retire early and head down south, all the way to S. America. Can't afford to retire here but enough to get by down there. The corruption in the FDA is only a sign of the times, but I'm certainly not going to go quietly ;)
