Even better.

OP lost his offensive avatar to boot.

Tapatyped

Someone should tell what's his name that he should post here in a couple days, or I guess we'll all see by then.

pls don't encourage him......
I had absolutely no problem with the guy's OP or his defense of it. Honestly I don't think anyone here did either. There is always the possibility it has merit. What was offensive was his approach. "My way or the highway" doesn't earn you respect. It's something he apparently has never learned.

I had no issue with the post, but a statement like that needs to be backed up. Especially when it goes against what others are saying who I believe to be more knowledgeable. I'm not talking about me btw.

And yeah, the delivery needed work.

I did.

I think if someone comes to this Forum and makes a Very Extraordinary Claim, that they should be able to Support it with Something. Anything.

And when Numerous Members pointed out how the OP was Misinformed by posting Deeming information or had Misunderstood what the Executive Orders that Trump signed actually did, I didn't find the Defense of "Your Wrong" to be a very Adult response.
You make my point. I can deal with just about anyone who is misinformed. But to close your mind and attack others with contrary information puts it in a different arena for me.

If a person is Misinformed but is willing to Listen to what others have to say, I am probably as Patient as the Next Person. Or if a Person wants to State an unsupported Opinion, I don't have a Problems with that.

That thread was/had neither. It was Presented as Fact. The kind of "Fact" that makes Most Forums a waste of time reading.

I also think that Members went Way Beyond the Norm, and Extended a Very High Degree of Patience with the OP.
That thread was closed for a reason, Don't you think we should just drop this and move on. :)

Now, if over the course of the next few years, the new administration actually does get rid of 75% of all regulations, it will be very interesting to see what becomes of vaping.
Diketones in every flavoring, since there'll be nobody bothering to fund the science to determine that some things may not be smart to inhale.

I suppose that's a possibilty if we believe there is pervasive malicious intent all around us.
Who has funded the science up to this point?

I'm by no means convinced that diketones in e-liquid are a concern, but the industry did a decent job of making diketone free options available for those who wanted them, without regulations.

I would venture to say that being roasted alive by vapers on social media is a much quicker and more effective regulatory mechanism than anything the FDA could dream about.

True enough, but USG funded the science to say that they are bad when inhaled. Vaping has gotten follow-on benefits from, essentially, govt protection science.

I never said the government, or regulations were bad. I do think that regulations have a tendency to grow and often become burdensome to the point where they may do more harm than good. I see it as a deeper issue with the world today. We've gotten to the point where someone gets hurt, and instead of people learning from it, they instead learn how to protect themselves from future litigation because of it.

In any case, I don't know how much regulation slashing the new administration can do, and if it happens, I doubt the FSPTCA will be part of what gets slashed.
