This is truly sad. Had hoped they'd hold out at least until the Nicopure suit was over. I suspect there just wasn't enough of us mouth-to-lungers willing to fork over the money for their kind of quality and workmanship.

I have been gobbling up the "classics" for a while now as they go on sale. Also, a full price Radius. I guess 5 Provari's will have to be enough. Though not my daily device I use 'em a lot just because they're so damn well made and by American hands as well.

I wish the staff well.

When the deeming regs were published last year the deeming date and approval uncertainty regardless of cost were the final blow for an American manufacturer. There was little reason for continued development of new devices as well as the likely prohibition of existing products. Provape made it clear that they would not be able to continue.

I am thankful I finally tried a ProVari in 2014 and had a chance to gather some of their great products. Money well spent on devices that continue to work flawlessly, made in America. Now a thing of the past.

Watch for the parade of juice companies dropping next ... there will be zero PMTAs submitted.
The attrition in that category has already started. I suspect it won't take until summer of 2018 before it the rate goes exponential either. There's a deadline this year (June? Pushed back from January?) for "manufacturers" to register all their products, and that registration includes complete ingredient lists. Registration isn't as onerous as a PMTA, but it's still time consuming and costly. It will be interesting to see how many comply, and what will become of those that don't.

I pray with all my heart that Karma is making her way to the FDA.
I like all kinds of animals, especially dogs, but I really hope a Karma runs over their Dogma.

And on the human side, these owner/operators have families to feed so they have to find other means of employment. They have the option of hoping for the best but when it comes to feeding your children you'll take the most secure route. Add that it takes time to sell off assets it makes sense ProVape closed now. I'm sure many vendors are calculating the exact same thing. It's not like they can afford to go right up to the drop dead date. They have to make other plans well in advance of that date.

When we see our favorite vendors going by the wayside it is easy to get demoralized. I'm not immune to that either. But we also have some things to be encouraged about. These are just my opinions and anyone can disagree with them but we had a couple positive things fall in our favor these past few months. I'm talking about the Nov. 8 election. IMO, had Hillary won there would be no chance the Deeming regs would have been reversed or diluted through 2058 or Cole-Bishop or the FDA. This would be a severe blow to our cause and we would have only lawsuits to place our hopes. With Trump winning, there is at least some chance those regulations will be reviewed. How much of a chance? I don't know. But IMO, more than if Hillary had been elected. Another plus is that Ron Johnson was re-elected in Wisconsin. The polls were showing he was going to get defeated, but he won. Senator Johnson is the one guy on Capital Hill who has grabbed the vape ball and ran with it. I'm confident he will continue that and will push our cause. We are not dead yet.

I Don't think there is any Question that things would have been Much Bleaker if the Election(s) had swung the other way.

Not sure how things are going to Play Out with this Administration? But it seems like Now would be a Good Time to dust off the Advocacy Drums and start Beating them again.

    I hear you.

So next, I guess, would be seeing what Fantastic means for Tobacco and e-Cigarette Users?

"Trump also said he has a "fantastic person" lined up for the role of FDA commissioner that will be named soon."

Trump is promising a big shake-up at the FDA — here’s what that could mean
I still haven't seen anything from this administration as it directly relates to the Deeming regulations. I can only go by one's ideology. And I know Price is a pretty staunch conservative. Conservative ideology includes being skeptical of government regulations. This certainly does not mean Deeming will be upended. I wont believe that until I see it. For now, I'm just glad that there seems to be at least a chance Price's department will view the Deeming regs with skepticism and actually do something about it. It's just a chance but we don't have much else.

I haven't seen Anything specifically from the Administration either.

Only the Generalities of FDA needs to be Over-Hauled. And I'm Not Sure what that means? Or if it even Includes Tobacco Control/e-Cigarettes?

My Grandfather used to say that Squeaky Wheels are the Ones that get the Grease. I think it is Time to Get Squeaky.

And Not just at the Grassroots Level.
