can someone clarify. I buy premade coils. When will the ban on those take effect? Do i need to start stocking up or is that something under the 2 year provision?
Love this! Well said indeed. ^.^Okay! I signed it, with the following added comment:
"Changing to vaping has helped me quit a 45+ year cigarette addiction. I have been cigarette free for close to 3 years, due solely to vaping. I highly recommend vaping to any smokers as a viable alternative. Yes, nicotine is addictive, but it is not as harmful when inhaled as a vapor as it is when inhaled as smoke, because all the the negative elements in the smoke are missing in the vapor. I believe it is an undue burden being placed on vendors in the vaping industry who make their livelihood providing a valuable service to our community. This action by non-elected pencil-pushers proves that they do not have the health interests of the American people at heart; but, are instead interested in lining their own pockets with Big Tobacco money."
I guess I'm an old cynic, because I'm not naive enough to believe that our government is in the least bit interested in what the people they govern say, unless it provides some little quip they can use to help get themselves elected and/or re-elected. I am also not naive enough to think that the FDA cares at all about the health and well-being of the people it is supposed to protect. Take for example the Breo commercial (seen on hulu and probably on television, too.) In this commercial it is announce that Breo contains a type of medication that can cause death to asthma sufferers - and it is an asthma medication! Does this sound like the FDA is trying to protect people, or more like it is taking money to push a potentially fatal drug onto the American people?
The kid choked to death on the cap?
Someone else gave me that link and being the complete idiot I am, (with zero patience) I keep clicking on all the links and it's just redirecting me to forum threads. I'm not seeing an actual blog or link a simple shopping list of what someone needs to get started. Thats a lot of links to click and sort through just to find a beginner basic blog![]()

Apologies for not writing up an overview on where we're at. Need more time to digest.
HOWEVER (and similar to @phephner ner above) I'm also of the opinion that the game is now on...
AND I've just come off a call planning the most incredible event the e-cig world has ever seen - stay tuned![]()
I'd like to know where that FDA talking head got the "numbers" that "70% of adults are still smoking conventional cigarettes while using e-cigarettes", and if that number was arrived at honestly (FDA honest, yeah, right), then how long had the people polled been vaping? Not sure why some Doctors are getting their Knickers in a Twist over Flavors?
I mean, Didn't they hear what Mr. Zeller had to say yesterday on the PBS Newshour when asked Directly about Flavors?

Skyrocketing teen use of e-cigarettes leads to new regulations
I mean Jeeze... It's not like We Can't Trust the FDA to do the Right Thing.
Right?

But we still get to be deemed criminals if we disobey them, right? It'll be a badge of honor, in this case.Katya, let me emphasize again that these are regulations and not laws.
Thank you for getting in touch with me about the FDA Deeming Authority Clarification Act of 2015 (H.R. 2058). It's great to hear from you.
As you may know, the bipartisan Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act amended federal law to require the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to regulate tobacco products. Under that law, FDA has proposed a rule that, once finalized, would bring e-cigarettes and e-cigarette cartridges under this tobacco regulation. The FDA Deeming Authority Clarification Act of 2015 would tie the "grandfathered" date for these products to the date of any finalized FDA rule, which would exempt some products from registration and pre-market review requirements.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), smoking causes more than 480,000 deaths each year – more than HIV, illegal drug use, alcohol use, car crashes, and gun deaths combined. Smoking costs the United States nearly $300 billion per year in direct medical costs and lost productivity. I am particularly disturbed about tobacco use by young people, as almost 90% of adults who smoke started smoking before the age of 18.
Although the unique health risks associated with e-cigarettes are not yet fully understood, it is well-known that e-cigarettes contain highly addictive nicotine and other chemicals. E-cigarette use among children has skyrocketed in recent years - tripling between 2013 and 2014 alone, according to CDC and FDA. Despite e-cigarettes' potential to harm, they are currently unregulated by FDA and are available to children in many states. I believe the FDA should have the authority to regulate these products.
Again, thanks for contacting me. I will keep your views in mind should H.R. 2058 come before the Senate. Please let me know if I can be of help to you in the future.
Sincerely,
Barbara A. Mikulski
United States Senator
So is this Progress Chart Incorrect? Or am I reading it Incorrectly?

Here is something I posted Yesterday in Another Thread ...

Good for you. Their crappy food is more harmful to a person's health than vaping is. Seriously, those chain "neighborhood restaurants" are only 1 step up from McDonald's. All they serve is frozen, processed garbage.
A couple years ago, some fool at a Starbucks scolded me that I couldn't vape in their outside seating area.. which was nearly empty. Starbucks hasn't seen a dime of my money since, and never will again. My own coffee's better anyway.![]()
Even if the Coils are Unaffected for 2 Years, something you should Ask is will the Company you buy them from still be around in 2 Years?
When it comes to Vaping Supplies, I live by the Moto of...
"Hope for the Best. But Plan for the Worst."
It should be 2 years. On the other hand don't expect vendors to go on selling until the last day. I imagine supplies will start to dry up well before the deadline. Manufacturers, shippers, resellers, will want to be sure all product is out of the supply chain before then, which could take many months. It's possible the market will begin to change quite soon. People who don't expect to be able to get certified by the FDA might pull the plug sooner rather than later. Juice makers and hardware makers are dependent on each other, among other dependencies. Nobody will want to be the last man standing, with a warehouse full of coils for tanks that might not be sold next week.
And as the supplies start to dry up prices will start to rise.
