Now that is what we all need and want to hear.

The were seizing shipments on the basis of being an unapproved drug delivery device.
Judge Leon shot them down by saying they were NOT drug delivery devices.
Now that they have been deemed a tobacco product...
They are now an unapproved tobacco product...
The deeming regulations spell out how to go about getting approved.
And the time frame for doing so.
The actual nicotine itself? (not any devices per se).
As far as I know they were seizing the whole ball of wax.The actual nicotine itself? (not any devices per se).
No sense procrastinating. My old Kayfun is about 3 years old. I got two EHPro Kayfun 3.1's for $15.99 each at Hoosier today. That's something I've been putting off until I found a sale. Same for the iStick TC 40W I just happened to find there also. Deeming regulation just put me over the top on the procrastination. I just needed an excuse to jump on it!![]()
I probably should've been more clear that I meant other Harm Reduction, not Tobacco Harm Reduction. Like needle exchange programs, for example. Still need a citation?
The deeming regulations specifically exclude FDA approved NRT products.
They are not a sham. They are currently Regulations and soon to be the Law of The Land. The 'deeming' regulations are such a complete and obvious disregard of any real facts that we DO have about vaping and its effects, of the equipment, and of the ingredients, I would really be shocked if they were not challenged on many levels, in many ways. I would be completely shocked and stunned if these were permitted to stand as is.
There is simply no other way to describe them----They are a complete sham.
A complete, obvious money grab as well. I can say that I have never seen an outcome where the 'fix' was so obviously 'IN', and completely IN YOUR FACE, no? Seems we are dealing with some very arrogant, tyrannical public health demagogues in the US drug cartel.
I'm fairly certain that this is NOT over.
Anything ecig related - including eliquids - coming through Customs. Many US vendors had stuff locked up for near 6 months. Certain Airports were worse than others - Chicago, NY, West Coast. Some coming directly to Dallas got through.
They have taken over.Children ... that's always included. Deeming regs set the legal age to buy vaping products at 18 years old. That's the same as tobacco cigarettes, which are known to cause a list of deadly diseases.
Ecigs have been proven to be several magnitudes safer than tobacco cigarettes. They are so much safer that no one mentions the harm aspect of ecigs.
So, it's the same as the healthcare bill. They said, "We don't know what's in it!". Yes, they've checked it out and found the harm factor to be negligible. Vapers' medical friends such as Dr. Farsalina have checked it out. My doctor and many others have tried to find something dangerous about vaping.
They failed to find anything deadly about vaping because the harm level is lower than breathing the air in a downtown area.
So, why are cigarettes still legal and vaping being attacked? Because we as vapers are no longer funneling money into Big Tobacco at the convenience store! Big Tobacco's minions are bending the ears of government and getting their way. I can hear it now as lobbyists whisper behind closed doors in Washington, "Well, you know that if electronic cigarettes take over the industry we will no longer be able to make our harm payments. You need to do something to kill that fledgling industry."
Big Tobacco has already been through the inspection process and conformed to it. We haven't. They are poised to take over.
Dave, I wish you would consider just 1 18650 mod<your choice> as a safety blanket. While it is highly unlikely Batteries will become UN-purchaseable, Dead Mod replacements may just be.
Children ... that's always included...
"It's for the children!" is always their infuriating strawman trotted out for media consumption. Has anyone else noticed that in the "news" stories from the last couple days, that's all they talk about? "Oh, the FDA is requiring that you be 18 or over to buy e-cigs now. Well, that's good. In other news..." No mention of how this will destroy thousands of small businesses nationwide, or make it far less likely that any smoker will be able to successfully quit actual tobacco products. Lying by omission is just as bad as overt deception, (which they also engage in, btw).
I'm in the UK and English. I can't vote in US elections
Just throw your vaping gear out now if you plan to vote Democrat. Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid were partying like it was 1999 when the initial laws passed.
The GOP is trying to save vaping. Democrats are trying to ban it.

This time, they may have gone one lie too far to get away with it.Of those, the FDA can continue to generate an unlimited amount.
Yep, you have to be 18 to purchase cigarettes, too. How the heck do they get those? The same way we did when we were in high school. They have a friend who buys them.
