Money and control Boys..........America has been dying a slow death for many years., not unlike Great Brittan , Islamic State Anyone?........Freedom? coke or Pepsi/Chevy or ford.....that's about it.........The FDA makes the mob look legit, unless we have a radical return to the Constitution and replace our "elected" officials with real men of integrity were done...the vape thing will be inconsequential compared to what's on the horizon

I gotta say this cause......well I gotta :-(

Let's not delude ourselves about the effect of the deeming regs. There is a lot of talk about workarounds and loopholes......I can guarantee that most modders will close up shop. Most modders do this as a hobby and not a primary source of income......with that being said I am positive that most of them won't risk their homes and family's wellbeing by selling contraband on the black market.

I beg all of you to not give up the good fight but also to prepare your own personal stash.

I do have a very important question to which I have yet to find the answer.......will possession of "unapproved" devices be a criminal offense?

I highly doubt that a regulation can get anyone arrested. You need laws for that. And so far, none have been put out there.

That is because either it is your companies policies that adhere to it and would be fined if violated, but not arrested.
If a gov agency then yes, you will get fired but not jailed, they are required to state what can be done if violated ie..under penalty of....... and they are the enforcers.
I have not seen or heard of anyone saying that these devices are illegal for use. The FDA is not a police enforcing agency.

eta: you just made my point.

As far as I know, there isn't any reason to believe owning e-cigs could lead to arrest... Selling unregulated products could get you in trouble (fines out the wazoo I'd bet) but I doubt we're going to see people going to jail over this... No criminal laws have been put into place to lead to that outcome...

The point I am trying to make is has anyone looked into the enforcement side of the regs and what can we expect. Our government has a bad habit of enforcing whatever laws/regs they feel like in whatever fashion is politically advantageous at the time.

I think Salem and I look at some of the same FB pages! :)

Did the million man march do anything? no it was viewed as a mob

Did black lives matter do anything? It was also a mob

Flooding Washington with a vapers march will be seen as just that.. a mob

The only hope we have is like the old "cliche" goes ..it will take an act of congress

No way is the vape industry going to just bend over for this. I see an all out war coming, I really do. Flat out non-compliance, blatant work arounds, black market, you name it.
65 pages in replies in less than 48 hours...looks like a war it will be.

I just quit smoking after being diagnosed with the beginnings of COPD at age 32. Thanks to gaping, I was able to do something that every other attempt using other cessation products failed.

Look, I joined this forum because of the FDA ruling. I am a,paralegal and law student. I'm sure my services could be used in the upcoming battles. If possible, someone put me in touch with the right people that could use the help in research, drafting letters and filings, etc.

Thanks everyone.

This is a very nice attention-grabbing graphic, which should be shared all over the `net. Especially after the date is determined (**please DON'T be Aug 9-18, I have other plans). However, the word "anyway" should read as "any way," followed by a comma. Also a comma after "Manufacturer," and do not capitalize "let." Just sayin'.

Whoever came up with this, please don't be offended, and I'm not trying to be the English Nazi - I just think that any kind of literature, especially protest literature, needs to be correct in grammar and spelling, lest the movement lose credibility.

But with that ammendment, the President would have to veto the entire budget bill to veto it. Or does he have line item veto powers? I can't remember if line item veto has been abadoned, or if it ever applied to budget legislation, which I think it didn't.
Line-item veto by a president was ruled unconstitutional in 1998. Attempts have been made to bring it back in some form that is constitutional but I don't think any have been successful.

Maybe you should go to CASAA to ask these questions. You certainly can't be the first to ask. They have a team of lawyers that could answer this for you.
Link to CASAA below my signature.

Been a member for 2 yrs[emoji6] I'm sure once they have had time to dig through all 499 pages we will have a better handle on what is coming.

Sad thing is that the majority of vapers have no idea what just happened. So very few of us stay informed of the advocacy going on.[emoji20]

Really? I don't want to sound... adversarial or anything, but it feels like most of the people I know who vape have been keeping an ear to the ground... Same with people online...
