There is hope with the general public. I was talking to my mom who is a 70 year old ex smoker. She quit 30 years ago cold turkey and it was Awful for her but she did it. Anyway, she is so mad at this because she has seen so many members of our family finally quit smoking by vaping. She is mad because of all the people that may now never know the freedom that ecigs can give you. She knows that most of us in my family never would have quit without them. She sees and smells the BS let's hope that we can get people like her to stand up for us and all the future ecig users.

Can you get your mom to write an email or two to a representative?

Im not gonna debate this because you are flat out wrong, and its off topic, so its the last I will say on it.

Plenty of films, especially documentaries, are being released via streaming and winning the awards and revenue these producers and directors desired, even before film festivals. I can and will no longer support their efforts because their efforts are all about attention seeking and money grabbing. If they cant fund the promotions then they shouldnt have asked the vaping community to support it. That movie could well have changed some of the discussion around vaping at a time when it was needed most. Now, it only contributes to a FDA closed discussion.

Okay, no debate. Can you name a few recent films that fit your description? I'd like to look them up and review them.

That's not even come up yet...that I can recall. I have read all of this thread.

Lord! That's another avenue that could clog the system. Although they have no problem using a credit card when you purchase cigarettes at the stores/gas stations.
Good point.

In any case, I was recently in Colorado and there are many small businesses that sell products for which they cannot accept CC and/or bank debit cards. They seem to be doing quite well.

If the worse that happens is the inability to use plastic in a vape shop, we should all thank our lucky stars.

I knew you were a good man Charlie Brown, back from a few group buys. What you have laid out here is a wonderful template that every and I mean EVERY person here need to take the few minutes to act on! No excuses if you got time to peruse the forums and opine here, DO IT WHERE IT MIGHT HELP US TOO!

Thanks Mike

Excellent! Since our elected officials first responsibility and only concern is to get themselves re-elected, expressions of disapproval may be our only effective effort. Legal remedies, first administrative and then courts, are expensive. Government lawyers breed like cockroaches and they are funded by you; we all know that the taxpayers pocket to fund is without limit.

She has seen my FB posts and hopefully she will. My nephews GF actually called him at work yesterday, he works at a vape shop, to tell him I was losing it and he needed to call me. LOL. He doesn't DIY, but he said if I need it he can make me a mean box mod and has a few overseas people he can turn to for a nic supply if I run out. I already spent 500.00 on back ups for my back ups and buying nic juice tomorrow. The weird thing is the guy he works for owns two shops and he doesn't seem too concerned. His thing is that the industry will change but he will be ok in the long run. I don't know if it's head in the sand or something up his sleeve? Guess I will find out soon enough. Until then I will be stocking up and learning.

It is about to hit the fan and I for one am still fighting. If you haven't signed this petition yet U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, President of the United States: Reject the FDA's Deeming of Vapor Products as Tobacco Products , Please do. It is getting very close to time for it to be sent to those that could do something about this. It will surprise me if they even read it but it is one more outlet for our anger and if we do nothing, they win by default.
Signed

Hey Randy!

Most vendors, even major ones, wouldn't have the cash flow for applications for even one product or eliquid. They may collectively have money toward lawsuits but in 90 days they will have to close shop - not enough time to get too far into a lawsuit, unless there's an injunction to stop closing.

Don't know about Joyetech USA or Kanger USA. Joyetech and Kanger have many vendors in the US - whether they'll step up to the plate, via vendors (don't think a Chinese company could do anything directly). who knows. I doubt it. While the US is a major market for them, it isn't the only one.

The injunction will be the best contribution / investment any vapor has made, I know my derby earnings are set aside for just that.
I have a notion China will be putting in a few .............

You are excused then lady. And I for one appreciate what you are doing in all this! I just have a bad habit of making light of things that make me want to shoot holes in things, I find it better/easier to laugh and breath, than bury the bodies! ;) And just so it's not a thankless job, THANK YOU! :)

I'd seen on CASAA's FB page a comment from a vape shop owner in Conway, AR. They posted that they were dumped by their CC clearing company on Friday a.m., they hadn't found out why, and I didn't keep tabs on the comments. I sent Dale the link, but she'd not been there before.
I can't answer your question specifically, but I do know, being in a business with a website and c/c regulated protection measures, that Veriphone (the c/c confirmation service) pulled the plug in April. This may mean that those who used Veriphone now need to find another service if they are selling online and accepting credit cards. I don't think it affects POS as a corded telephone type c/c processing machine connection to the bank is a different animal.

A thousand hoorays to you!!!

I agree. I think Trump is clueless about vaping. For this reason I believe he would allow his secretary of DHHS to decide whether these regulations stay in place or are thrown in the trash can. I think neither Bernie or Hillary will change them as they are.
They both voted yes to this bill.

After August 8 the internet is a tobacco product.
Since software updates are clearly spelled out to be included in the deeming, not only will the update be a violation, but any cord you use to connect to download it, would be a tobacco product, even if it's not the one that came with the device.

So add some standard USB cables to the list of items that can be affected by the intended use idiocy.

Your joke is really funny, but uncomfortably close to the truth.

One thing I don't know if it's a good thing or bad thing yet is that the issue seems to be getting very muted media response. I have a strong opinion, and realize it comes from having smoked 30+ years and desperately trying everything except hypnosis, (I was scared the hypnotist would get me to strip and run down main street) to finally have replaced that habit with vaping. I will admit I don't know all the long term health implications that may be associated with it, but I do know how I feel and how my body has responded over the last 2 years! I would love to think reason will win out here, but am reminded "you can not change someone's opinion with reason, if that opinion was not reached through reason"!
