Hmmm, these lists look surprisingly like my Amazon recommendations, ever since I looked at wire and Coilmaster stuff on Amazon. Which makes Amazon's software a tobacco product as well.
I don't know about that, but I just realized the USPS truck that brought me my nicotine, might have an easier time getting approved as a drug delivery device, than to have to go through all that it needs for approval for staying on the market as the tobacco product it becomes in August.

Senator Tim Kaine is another "blowoff" kind of guy.

I wrote him several weeks ago about the ammendment they were trying to pass that would prohibit Mods and ecigs on both carry-on and checked baggage. In other words you wouldnt be able to take it on the plane PERIOD.

Here is his blowoff response, judging by the non-stance of it, I can only assume my plea regarding the FDA will get a similar non-response:

Dear Mr. Petro:

Thank you for contacting me about S.Amdt.3547. I appreciate hearing from you.

With 66 public airports and 45 million annual travelers flying through Dulles and Reagan National alone, Virginia relies on a strong aviation system to move people and goods, provide jobs, and support economic activity. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is tasked with managing both an air traffic control system comprising more than 60 million aircraft and the safety of some one billion passengers who travel throughout the nation each year. While the U.S. has one of the world's safest air traffic control systems, there is a general consensus that we need to make investments to upgrade this system's aging technology.

On April 19, 2016, the Senate passed a bipartisan bill to reauthorize the FAA's activities and financing through Fiscal Year 2017. The bill authorizes overdue investments in airport infrastructure and NextGen modernization and makes critical improvements to aviation safety, including strengthened security in areas like check-in and baggage claim. It also takes steps to provide for the responsible use of unmanned aircraft systems in concert with robust safeguards for safety and privacy. I was particularly pleased to work with my colleague Senator Mark Warner to keep all amendments out of the bill that would have authorized more perimeter rule-exempt slots at Reagan National. Such amendments would have increased overcrowding at Reagan National, exacerbated noise issues in nearby communities, and damaged the economic competitiveness of Dulles Airport. S.Amdt.3547 was not adopted as part of the final bill passed by the Senate.

This bill now moves to the House of Representatives. As the process moves forward, I will be sure to keep your thoughts on this measure in mind should it come up again in future versions of the FAA bill.

Again, thank you for contacting me.

My laptop will be considered a tobacco product because I sometimes spill e-liguid on it. Seriously though the DIY crowd will be left alone except for nicotine.

not sure what you are basing this statement on as the FDA is saying otherwise.

Why would they do any harm? They can do good but it takes A LOT of man power and money. Just last year we (well the city) got a certain {other stuff} on the ballot through a petition, but it took tons of signatures, and thousands of dollars to do it.

just NO, you are incorrect, it was not done or paid for by the citizens/people of Ohio...
the petitions were done and paid for by investors to limit the commercial growth of :censored: to 10 sites owned by those investors who also paid for the ballot campaign, giving those investors exclusive rights to profiting from the growth of :censored: in Ohio.
The petitions started here are by individual vapers are nothing like that.
I would encourage you to do the research and learn the facts before spreading misinformation on a public forum.

The regulations aren't providing a blanket license at a set price. They're requiring an application, and testing data for EVERY formulation of EACH flavor, at EVERY nic level.
Mt. Baker Vapor makes juices at 5 different VG/PG ratios, and 6 different nicotine levels. These regulations will require $30 million in testing, and application fees for EVERY flavor! How many flavors do they make?
Stop acting like the North end of a Southbound horse!

Exactly. They have set these regulation up as if they handle pharma drugs. They've basically said they have a drug and drug delivery device as they did back in '09 but they're tobacco products. They want to clean up the market and have it only available to those with the deepest pockets (BT, BP perhaps, and potentially a couple huge Vapor companies who more than likely would sell out to one of the first two). All the liberal talk about billionaires and all this government wants to do is keep giving the business to the rich.

Yup, there's the words you'll find in every blowoff reply.
I've gotten lots and lots of them through the years.

It's pretty much become standard issue.
They must teach that phrase in Politics 101 or something.

No. Big Tobacco cigalikes would also have to go the PMTA route.

The OP I replied to was speaking of recently released new brands of tobacco cigarettes, such as Marlboro Black - which, by any reasonable means, is substantially equivalent to any other conventional tobacco cigarette produced prior to 2/15/2007.

You're on the right track. IMHO the FDA is not out to divvy the e-cig business and give to
to any one for any reason. The FDA is out to eliminate by regulation the entire industry
and return it to the pre-e-cig era status quo.
Regards
Mike

Although I think the far reach of the FDA deeming has taken everyone by surprise (to put it mildly) it is interesting to see how it compares to the general thoughts/conjecture expressed of what it would cover and affect all these years.

Indeed. However, my sense is that they really overreached this time. Or maybe it's just my HOPE...

I need to give a shout out to SmokTek. For being a vendor that is taking this seriously. Just got a great email from them. Those vendors who do not take this seriously will no longer get my business. So get your heads out of the sand and realize this is a fight for your entire industry!!!!
