Yeah. That video I made. I shared it to my fb that same day. One like from a "friend" that I only know from a fb game I played years ago. So I re-shared it, with a post reading. "You know me, I barely post on FB as it is and I posted a video of MYSELF, you have to know this is important." That led to one person watching and commenting in support.

Some people just care more about 10 minute meal options and people of walmart videos...

It's that atmosphere that has led me avoid fb. I get emails telling me that I have 99 notifications, but when I look it's mostly people posting pictures of their kids or where they had lunch. I've posted 4 articles about the FDA Deeming: got 2 likes and one comment from a friend saying is sounds awful.

Years ago I was writing a piece about the Electoral College and came across a video on the subject by this guy. It was clear and concise, although I wish he spoke slower. I then watched one he made about The Alternative Vote system. I'd not heard of it before, but it sounded interesting:

I don't go on Facebook anymore for the same reasons.

Plus it is such a phony balony environment. Wouldn't the world be a perfect place if everyone's Facebook portrayal of their life was reality? Ha!

I am trying to remember why I set up a FB account years ago. I think it was to keep in contact with family. Mostly a fail because I mostly forget I even have the account until I have something I feel is important enough to share over there. The only things I post there have something to do with vaping.

My oldest sister was the only one that ever gave me a like or comment for anything I posted. She smoked for at least 20 years, she vaped for about 6 months and quit that too. She DID NOT go back to smoking so no matter what the powers that be want to say, this is or can be a smoking cessation tool. she is living proof!!!!!!

Apolagies in advance if this has already been posted and I hope it doesn't cause @KODIAK (TM) to hit the hard stuff again. /lol /joke

Gerie Voss, supervisory regulatory counselor at the FDA’s Center for tobacco Products. Listen to her tell a bold face lie during a radio interview. The host asked her how she could defend these regulations in the face of uniform statements by vaping companies that “this is so onerous that this is going to drive them out of the business.” Her answer was “It’s important to remember that we’re talking about products that kill people.” Start at 4:45 Minutes here. Seriously! She has to lie to justify the Final Deeming! Ecigs don’t kill. Cigarettes with tobacco kill. Thanks to Dr. Siegel and his great Blog post.

Welcome to the Hall of Shame!

I wonder if FDA-approval is some kind of US-rating , equivalent to the double-oh designation in the UK ...

So, Mrs. Voss, where are the victims ? Where are the body bags, where are the caskets ?

Harm reduction.

Good thing you didn't deem cars to fall under the FDA's tutelage.

No seat belts, no airbags, no anti-skid.
Oh, nevermind.Won't be fast enough for that anyway when sporting the FDA-ordained square wheels...

But still...on you FB and such...why not KEEP posting things even tho you don't "get likes or comments" ??

Eventually...?? Maybe...??

ever hopeful...
Most definitely, that one person who takes notice is one more than we had previously.

Where is the study saying if BT does that it will make cigarettes more addictive?

:2c:
Regards
Mike
Mike, I posted what I thought based on my experiences only. NO body knows my body better than me, and I noted the change through how my own body reacted to that change in cigarettes. At the time, I tried to find studies to find out what else they had done, but at that time I was still working, etc....and had no extra time to devote much effort to it.
Posting this article ONLY to show just how underhanded BT is and that they don't always disclose their activities.
The tobacco industry is not happy with the way Australia got its residents to quit smoking

I sometimes charge an e-cig in my car, that makes it a tobacco product.

How does that work with the kids in Australia? I used to smoke imported Death cigarettes, when I was younger. I mean, DEATH is right there on the pack.

*:w00t: imported death.

John Oliver's piece on 'tobacco' has an example or two of BT waving the big litigation club towards developing countries who are basically to poor to effort getting dragged into court.

Can't link it though - his somewhat liberal use of four-letter isn't quite ecf-rules compliant :D

One still has to wonder how much availability of E-cigarettes and Vaping products in general has effected the overall Drop in Active smokers in these Plain Packaging countries

Watch beginning at 14:30 thru 22:30

Les needs to have a few cups of coffee to get a buzz, hang some fabric for a background, wear a plain shirt (I kept trying to figure out what the other half of his shirt said) and MAKE MORE VIDEOS!

I would have taken the cigs out of the ugly box and put them in a case. I have a beautiful antique mother of pearl cigarette case, but, due to its age, only fits non-filtered. I'm surprised I never saw many contemporary cases, except for this kind:

In an effort to make some money when the industry goes dark, perhaps small box mod and drip tip makers can make cigarette cases and boxes. They were on the market before 2007, so no problem.

It's a Lucky Jeans T-shirt, one of the few I own that doesn't have cartoon characters or super heroes on it. Wouldn't want to be seen as "targeting minors."

I don't do well with most reviewers. That said, he read a letter from CASAA that was worth listening to.
