It sure does! Congress needs to pass a Family Cosmetic Prevention Act right away, granting the FDA regulatory oversight on this deadly industry.

I had exposure to diesel exhaust this morning on my way to work. It made me feel nauseous. Had my child been with me, it probably would have had the same effect on her. Should I have called Poison Control and reported this, I wonder?

I can't post the direct link due to language, but John Oliver did a great show about Big tobacco, including their attempts to sue countries to get them to stop "plain" packaging. Remarkably, there is a quick shot (I mean blink and you'll miss it) of an ecig in a package, but no one looks interested.

Jill Stein is always the Green Party candidate. Not the type to attract huge crowds at rallies.

Oliver could do a great job of attacking the attacks on vaping. Plenty of humor to be had in nearly every aspect of the fight.

He fights corruption, and has an army of loyal viewers/activists.

I'm actually against plain packaging laws, and graphic imagery requirements. They serve no real purpose other than demonizing smoking even more, and making smokers feel worse. There's as little science behind their effectiveness as there is behind their arguments against vaping.

I can't figure out what "cosmetics" could be that poisonous; I have a feeling that the numbers may reflect calls to poison control and ER visits, not deaths.

My guess would be kids eating Mom's lipstick thinking it's candy and possibly the 'pretty colored' eye shadows...

Most of them are question calls. If they would update their Annual Report, that goes into more detail.

I'd vote Libertarian if I thought they had a chance of winning.... heck, I live in California, I already know all of our Electrorial College delegates will go Democrat anyway, maybe I will for a change.

One thing that actually HAS reached somewhat epidemic proportions is the detergent pods. There was a push for regulation, but then the industry said they would address the issue, and that's the last that was heard about that.

Oh, they did! I tried to open one of those new buckets of them I got from Costco to run the dishwasher... had to break out a screwdriver to get the damn lid open. As always, child-resistant equals old-guy-who-can't-read the-tiny-instructions-resistant as well.

My simple reply to those folks is, I tell them You are still addicted to smoking, you are just not currently smoking. Your anger and resentment are proof that nicotine still has a hold on you.
