They are the 'usual suspects' - along with Durbin, Schumer, Blumenthal, Sherrod Brown, Markey, Merkely, et al. Kay Hagan, now gone, was with us. But google tells the story:

No results found for "Democrats who support vaping".
No results found for "Republican who support vaping".

Edit: Typo.

No results found for "Republicans who support vaping".

Lol... I found one result - your post here

Even without the quotes there's nothing showing up on Dems - quite a few Republicans though - although we already knew that.

Out of a total of 246 House Republicans.
31 votes for the amendment is taking a stand.
You do realize the Amendment was a Committee Vote right? o_O
House Vote on entire bill to come.
Senate has a separate Bill awaiting final Vote.

Both BILLS MUST be Reconciled*
*make (one account) consistent with another

Uh, yeah, I was the one that first reported the votes. (by culling the votes off the video, I might add). And the procedures that follow. :?:

Maybe before you started posting in the media/regulations forums....

Yep, California is well represented.... both Senators are there, with bells on.

As a side note, there is a typo on this page. Richard Blumenthal is (D-CT), not (D-CA), unless California suddenly has 3 Senators now. :)

I won't comment on the lack of (R-xx) after any of these names... nope, won't go there.

Oops, I just did. Shucks....

Well, they could just tax the crap out of vaping like they do everything else to make up for the loss. Much better option than killing millions of people IMHO.
That WOULD be killing millions.

Seems that's not enough. They're headed for the B word...

Ohio - Sherrod Brown:

Please take the time to Explain to a 62yr old man that Stopped Smoking due to Vapor Products NOT designed, owned or promoted by BT and is now 4yr's Combustible Tobacco Free. How you get the Idea BT is Behind Vaping. Those Pigs are attempting to Buy their way into an Industry Designed to Give the most Chronic Smokers a way to become free of the Grip of Combustible Tobacco(America's # 1 Killer) Why is it YOU and the Democratic Party are Choosing Financial Gains(MSA) and State TAXES over Human Lives and Health Risk Reduction? (UK) Release - a 95%safer Alternative for SMOKERS. OMG what is your Excuse for condemning people to an early Death over Freely available alternatives? This is not the time for Political Party lines. This is a time to take Human Lives into consideration. Please show you have respect for right to life of ALL Americans.

I got aggravated:oops:

As has been said, that is step two of the plan, after all, taxes "discourage use(yeah right)." In order to tax vaping though, they need it scaled back to easily trackable and easily taxable packages.
This (not you) mindset ignores the history of this agency completely.

BT & BP pays the bills... and are and will be appointed to heads of panels.

Result? They get the industry handed to them.

It. Really. Is. That. Simple.

No. I said instead of killing millions of people. The way that they are going about things, many people will die needlessly and their blood will be on the hands of the FDA/BP/BT. They could leave the products that actually work on the market, tax the bejeebus out of them, recoup some of the lost revenue and more people would survive is what I am saying.

I know that I am preaching to the choir. It just can't all be about lost revenue.
Well...

There's lost funding also.

I think government, FDA, BT and BP etc. has gotten to the point today that greed far outweighs good conscience. If any of them were concerned with people's lives, cigarettes would be illegal as well as a myriad of different medications. I think it is all about lost revenue and loss of control.

Don't forget food...

The biggest killer in the world.

The industry of which is also supported by the big 3 you mention...

Yeah, the taxes are only a portion of it. As Kent says, control is another. There's also the revolving door of business and regulation that you're talking about. It's all a bit crushing when you think about it.
