I'm a little more than halfway in the AEI video taking a vape break. I'm in the middle of the lawyer's presentation. She is going through the weaknesses of the FDA's argument. It reminds me that the Obama administration is quite famous for writing flimsy laws and regulations. He has been challenged on many of his executive orders, laws, and regulations and has lost. Many are still pending and stand a good chance of being tossed out (unless an anti-Obama administration is elected in November and those laws subsequently removed). Why do I bring this up? Just look at Obamacare. In case no one has noticed, the law is falling apart of its own weight. The law was so poorly written that between legal actions against it and the impossibility of attaining many of its provisions and goals it is on a sure path of total collapse. It is imploding on its own. This is the largest example of law poorly thought through and enacted by the Obama administration. Trust me, there are many others. Watching this lawyer pick apart the FDA Deeming regs is a reminder of Obama's dismal record on enacting law and regulations. This serves to give hope for litigation efforts against the Deeming regulations.

BTW IMO, the reason why Obama has lost many of his orders, laws, and regs is because he does not base his desires in law but rather through how he can control our lives. This is what far left ideology is...controlling lives because they know better than you. This desire is greater than following law and makes his fiat harder to attain.

Just wondering (curious), are there any substitutes for nicotine....such as caffeine or other stimulants that, in effect, accomplish the same/similar effects as nicotine when used in e-liquid?

Im not sure if there is anything that anything that would create a similar effect. I have tried a few of the e-liquids with caffeine, with no nicotine. To me there wasn't really an effect but I could never find info about how much caffine was in them, so a different level could maybe make a difference.

Corporately owned Government
wiki:
Fascism /ˈfæʃɪzəm/: a form of radical authoritarian nationalism that came to prominence in early 20th-century Europe, influenced by national syndicalism...Such a state is led by a strong leader—such as a dictator and a martial government composed of the members of the governing fascist party—to forge national unity and maintain a stable and orderly society. Fascism rejects assertions that violence is automatically negative in nature, and views political violence, war, and imperialism as means that can achieve national rejuvenation Fascists advocate a mixed economy, with the principal goal of achieving autarky through protectionist and interventionist economic policies.

Definition of FASCISM
Full Definition of fascism
  1. 1 often capitalized : a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition

  2. 2 : a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control <early instances of army fascism and brutality

I find it highly unlikely the the supposed ENDS can be labled as containing Nictoine when in fact that can be proven scientificly that they do not contain any Nicotine! I can not fathom a court upholding that classification by the FDA..

I believe that is when it must state "this product is made from tobacco" Hope that clears it up

One of the more interesting lines in the AEI video came around the 1:55 mark. Saul Shiffman was saying that Pharma was trying to peddle their smoking cessation products that were deemed safe by the FDA but the problem was consumer demand was poor...."no one wanted them"...as he put it. So he was commissioned to try and figure out ways to spark consumer demand of these smoking cessation products. He contrasted that to vaping where people are lining up with cash in hand to buy vaping products so they can quit smoking. Translation....So the FDA whines that pharma couldn't spark consumer demand for their smoking cessation products yet here we are as a (growing) vape community screaming at the top of our lungs at the vape industry to TAKE OUR MONEY!!! The vape industry has done what Pharma could not do.!! Which goes back to my earlier point/question yesterday in that why didn't pharma embrace vaping as a medicine and market it themselves? It's either because they were too stupid or they felt it was less cost to kill vaping than it was to enter a new market. Not sure which.

So...do these people have a voice - do they have any "power" ?
They are ignored by liberals and more importantly the liberal media.

If a tree falls in the woods but isn't covered by The media it never happened ...

NATO: Home

“(i) Other tobacco products.—Any product not otherwise described under this section that has been determined to be a tobacco product by the Food and Drug Administration through its authorities under the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act shall be taxed at a level of tax equivalent to the tax rate for cigarettes on an estimated per use basis as determined by the Secretary.”.

Not a very long Trail to Follow.

Just go to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. and look for a 19T (That's Trillion with a "T") Hole in the Ground.

Perhaps if they had to take 1 shovel full of Dirt out of DC for every Dollar Wasted they would get a hint.
New Capitol Residence - Apportioned N.C. Land

It would create an interesting Potomac River Whirl Pool:D

Edit: Taxation would effective let China Pay the Settlement and give Tobacco companies some relief (for other evil ventures)
Of course Very few Smokers ever realized WE were the ones paying the Settlement, not Big Tobacco. :glare:

For those not familiar with AEI (American Enterprise Institute)...they are a prominent think tank. I believe they claim they are non-partisan but, in my opinion, lean right.

AEI - Neocon - originally came from the Left. Irving Kristol et al
Heritage - conservative
Heartland - conservative/libertarian
CEI - libertarian leaning
Cato - libertarian
Brookings - Left
Center for American Progress - Progressive
Progressive Policy Institute - d'uh

A great way to end every letter we are sending to our legislators as well might be:

Also in conclusion can you tell me what steps your office is taking to make sure the traditional manufacturers of combustible tobacco that have taken so many of our loved ones lives do not end up in full control of this industry.
I'm way behind, but I want to just stop and take a moment to quote this one.

Really good idea here.
