This falls under that point I was trying to make the other day. The Obama administration has become famous for writing very poor executive orders, and regulations. Opposition has won many times against Obama initiatives in the courts and I don't rule out that these Deeming regulations crash and burn too. Obama thinks he can rule by executive fiat. The courts are pushing back and their ammo is Obama's own poorly written orders and regulations...which are based in his arrogance.
Going thru the government websites makes me crazy, but I found a document posted by a law firm to explain to what a congressional investigation means and the steps it takes. Maybe it will help a little bit about what can happen? Page 5 starts explaining the enforcement process.

This is another article about Tom Frieden and his "recent" press conference about e-cigarettes. I tried and I can't find any evidence of any recent press conference, or the fact that he's "under fire."
Are they referring to the 2014 event? If so, that's hardly recent and I still see no evidence of him being under fire???

Katya, I believe they are referring to this event from March 2016 and the ad where they are misleading people about the womans collapsed lung which is being discussed more and more in an unflattering light.

We all want to see the inferno! lol, I don't remember what video clip, it may have been the AEI video where the Dr. talked about the bogus collapsed lung inference as if it was caused by an ecig which is ridiculous but can occur from tobacco. I am just seeing more people on the internet talking about how misleading it is. Give it a couple days as I have just seen so many more comments against the FDA in the last 24 hours I honestly believe many people are just becoming aware of the regulations and overreach. Personally, I will make sure they are all under fire, from me!

That was the definition of tobacco products prior to the deeming, which "deemed" other things as tobacco products as well. Even if the website is out of date, I don't recall reading any regulation that transfers the powers of the TTB to the FDA. I'm wondering if it is clarified somewhere whether or not new tobacco product manufacturers will also have to get a TTB permit?
