I'm logging out for a few minutes, be back later.
Our best hope is reaching the press. In a way, they have failed us the most, as some have said. They are supposed to be the ones to keep an eye out for, and inform the people of, the kind of government and corporate corruption we've been attacked with.
We probably stand a much better chance of getting through to journalists, than to Government officials.
One journalist at a time...I wish that was true, but investigative reporters are an endangered species, pretty much extinct. The media isn't looking out for us anymore. There may be a few out there amongst the rest and we need them to get the word out, but I unfortunately think the mainstream media will drown out their voices
judging by the time gap in posts, I think a few of us "logged out for a minute"I'm logging out for a few minutes, be back later.
As I'm sure you know, there is a certain percentage of people who take immense pleasure in making rules for others, scolding them and exercising power over them. Gather enough of these people together, give them something or someone to dislike (Jews, Tutsis, Hutus, smokers... it doesn't matter), and they will soon encourage and reinforce one another to the point where all sense of truthfulness, humility and ethical behavior goes out the window. This sort of thing has been repeated throughout history.
Our Founding Fathers believe that a strong and free press was the cornerstone of liberty. Unfortunately, that cornerstone has developed some serious cracks. We see more and more bureaucratic propaganda and slanted press releases reported uncritically as fact, and Facebook and Twitter seem to be primary sources of "news" for too many people.

Majority Media | Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs Committee | Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs Committee
"Please provide this information and material as soon as possible but no later than 5:00 p.m. on June 20, 2016. If the FDA does not provide an adequate response to these inquiries, the Committee may be forced to resort to other means to compel the production of this information."
If you're on FB and/or Twitter--please, please like (bottom of page) and share with everyone you know.
And write another thank you note to the Good Senator and the Committee. We need to support Sen. Johnson and his efforts!
I'm sitting here with great anticipation for June 20th. What will happen if the fda doesn't respond again? Sen. Johnson should go after them with all claws out.

Indeed...seems like all we have to do is blow off our nosesWe probably stand a much better chance of getting through to journalists, than to Government officials.
Not likely. That would mean regulating *real* tobacco products even more than they are now.I'm sure nicotine is on the FDA's list for future regulation.
Nothing. Absolutely nothing. (Just like the first time).I'm sitting here with great anticipation for June 20th. What will happen if the fda doesn't respond again?

Well, something happened. Sen. Johnson wrote another letter, gave them a stern warning, and made it public. Not likely. That would mean regulating *real* tobacco products even more than they are now.

New business venture, wait until all the Vape shops close then hold "Mod Building Workshops".

Imagine you're the chairman of a powerful senate committee in charge of monitoring the activities of government agencies. You ask for information and they don't even bother to respond. You ask again, this time more forcefully, and again they blow you off. Would you just let it slide?
