Back in August I sent an email to the FDA with some questions, well today I got a response and pretty much nothing but the run around and no real answers... Here's a pic of my questions and their answers...

The Prohibition of Distributing Free Samples of Tobacco Products,
I got pretty much the same email today. My questions were specifically about sampling in stores. I even made it a point in my email to them to identify the difference between free samples of entire products and "taste testing" which is actually what I was asking about. In previous responses they had said that customers could handle and smell the products without paying, to which I replied that handling and smelling are not TASTING which is what my question was about.

so people can snort ejuice? :p Should come up with some way to slighly heat a drop of juice so it can be "smelled" a bit more properly... Like a little heating pad..

scent is just a horrible way to pick out a flavor, lemon pledge smells great but hows it taste eh?

I've had plenty of liquids where the taste and the smell did not fully match up. I've also had plenty that tasted one way in the clearo at the shop and totally different in my rda at home.

The FDA just refuses to even try to understand this aspect of vaping.

My favorite juice smells like soggy coffee grounds but the taste is simply rapturous.

These is another possibility although a bit pricey. For some reason they weren't working well in the buyer's mod with a "check battery" error, but don't let that deter you from the bargain price of only $19.95 each 18650 Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery 2600mAh 3.7V | Jaycar Electronics

Hahaha.. I can get Samsung 25 r 18650's from a quality liion battery wholesaler for 5.00 each.. (in any quantity I want) why on earth would ANYONE buy a no-name for 16.00 each!?!?!

Duncan Hunter, one of our strongest advocates in congress, is under criminal investigation for ethics violations. Certainly an unwelcome development. Hopefully he isn't completely distracted by this, and will continue his efforts on vapers behalf.

Not that misuse of funds is ever okay, but that doesn't seem too bad, and at least he's paid it back. Here's hoping he's paid everything back and not just what's been "found."

I've been doing some research in the last half hour. It seems that he " paid it back " after the San Diego Tribune and the House Ethics Committee started asking questions. I'm not sure i can agree with your assessment that " it doesn't look too bad ".

BTW - I wonder if all this had Gone On with a Non-Vaping House Member if they would have received the Same reaction here on the ECF?

LOL
Why would the story get any attention at all here if it wasn't for his vaping connection ?

I read that too, and I'm not defending it.

I would prefer it if politicians never did things they weren't supposed to, and never had conflicts of interest. I also have no clue what Hunter's stance is on anything non-vape related.

I was just thinking that I could easily think of what I would consider much worse offenses, like publicly falsely accusing a former elected official of illegal actions.

eh, I'm just glad he's not in my district. I'm not sure what's worse, someone misusing funds, or someone ignoring scientific facts and trying to keep millions from safer alternatives.

I never saw Improprieties or possible Criminal Activities committed by an Elected Official as being OK as long as I can find someone who is doing something Worse.

But I hear what you are say'n.

It would get no attention, it would simply be another story about a career politician doing what politicians do and would never be mentioned.
