Unfortunately, to most non vapers I talk to, nicotine is tobacco, even if it's in our juice. To the uneducated, it's the ONLY reason to smoke, chew, use snuff, suns or, vape. Most think it's nicotine that causes cancer so, to them it's the same as smoking.

As one told me, vapor is smoke, it comes out of your mouth, it's white, it has nicotine in it - it's smoke.

We need to educate more people.

Many people cannot be educated as it relates to e-cigarettes. Their minds are made up and there is no changing them. Have a buddy who had quad bypass a year ago. Still blames vaping despite smoking cigarettes for more than 40 years. But he wasn't diagnosed until he started vaping. That must be it.

With the concerted effort to publish/promote illegitimate studies and conclusions, I think there will always be a segment of the smoking and non-smoking public that will hold on to those false statements about nicotine. I will always be happy to explain the facts when I run into somebody who is ill informed, but I don't think we can completely undo that mind set at this point.

My focus is on keeping our freedom to vape based on the facts regardless of those opinions. Too bad for the smokers that use the false stories as an excuse instead of doing some homework, but they are likely a lost cause already.

Some of them, because they have been properly edumacated.
And some of them because they are tired of being made to look stupid.

Can I divorce my daughter in law? I got her vaping, she quit smoking 2 years ago, today she brings me all her vape gear and juice. "I'm smoking, heard the liquid kills pets if the even lick a drop of it. That's more dangerous than cigarettes. It's going to make my grandbabies sick and kill my dogs so, I have to stop. Cigarettes don't do that."

She was reading anti vaping propaganda and, fell for it, hook line and sinker - dumb.......

I was up high on a ladder the other day painting with one hand and holding a cup of paint in the other. Because I am incapable of walking and chewing gum at the same time I tilted the cup of paint and it splattered all over a piece of protruding roof that is visible to all. I don't recall being this mad at myself. I cussed myself out unlike any time I can remember. Used every word in the book and created new ones. Thought I was gonna punch myself. Came close.
