I actually read the original reports when the teen died and the cause of death is not "caffeine overdose" and the medical examiner was very careful not to word it that way. As with most things, it's not that simple. Yes, he consumed a large amount of caffeine, but depending on which energy drink he consumed there could be other compounding influences. Of course the simple answer is to have parents teach their children moderation, but what are the odds of that happening?

As a teen I regularly consumed soda, coffee, and no-doze. Not smart, but I was aware of my limits.
I used to take 20+ epinephrine pills found on the 7-11 counter just to get through AP English.

Most could only take 2 or 3.

But we all knew our limits.

Unfortunately the art of starting low and working up isn't common sense anymore.

Your adhd aren't you?

If so, that might be why you have such a high tolerance level compared to others.

Nope.

Just natural high tolerance to nearly everything.

Okay, just curious.

My son is adhd (actually adhd) and as a result, medicines, caffine etc. works differently in his system than they do in every one else's.

My brother as well.

I get it.

But in my family, everyone except an uncle on dad's side and an aunt on mom's side are pharmaceutical tolerance anomalies.

I'm probably the most extreme by a long shot.

Still I have my kryptonite.

Flexeril for one example lays me out.

I wake up full body cramped for a week.

That's kinda funny/odd. I'm low tolerance and Flexeril does absolutely nothing for me despite being told it was the best of several options. Just shows how different metabolisms are and why it's so much work for people to find what works for them.

Nothing like a dozen 8 balls to get through a tough day.

Also I picked a bad day to quit sniffing glue.

Anyone remember Lloyd Bridges in the comedy movie Airplane?

fave movie of all time, need to find a stream of that and watch it again, been ages....

One and a half ounce in one day? You're still alive?

lightweight imo

BTW - Someone once Asked in this thread if anyone thought would a Non-BT Company would go ahead and submit a PMTA?

Cosmic Fog meets with FDA, prepares PMTA - Vaping360

Interesting. Are they the only ones? Didn't you once post a link to the FDA summary page for applications? Same for registration. I did a quick search but couldn't find. Find too many folks that think that vape co's are actually trying to (can) comply and that to my thinking is unlikely if not impossible. Thanks.

G'luck. :)

p.s. Ah, just read the article, the first. But what about registrations?

they intend to file the application with the FDA in September 2018, though it could be postponed if the deadline is changed by the agency.
Remind me, but isn't there something in the Deeming that allows the FDA to shut a manufacturer down starting this August if they believe that the manufacturer isn't serious about submitting PMTAs?

If so, that means anyone who wants to be confident that they don't get shut down within the next year has to at least act like they're perusing the process, whether they actually intend to follow through or not, right? ;)

I've heard Rumors about a few other e-Liquid companies that might be Preparing PMTA's. But they are just that, Rumors.

Yeah... The FDA seems to have somewhat Walked Back their tone on companies acting "In Good Faith" as to a serious PMTA. What with the Regime Change and all.

Hard to say though.

It might Also depend on what this person has to Say.
