It's been decades since I watched or relied on MSM and conventional broadcast or print media. Gave it up. Mostly cause it just makes me want to hurl more than my first smoke. More recently just about anything Hollywood and most of the music industry. There's no better voting tool than your wallet.

Good luck all. :)

Don't pod me. Extract vaping from tobacco legislation.

Extract vaping from tobacco legislation.
If you extract vaping from tobacco legislation is that a tobacco extract and does that make it a tobacco product again?

Not much happening right now. We're waiting see what they're going to do on flavors. The comment period on their ANPRM is over. Now they have to wait long enough to give the illusion that they've read and considered all the comments.

Anything new to add to this thread?

Waiting to see what the FDA Does on Flavors and how much of a Restriction will be placed on e-Liquid mg/ml levels?

Warning Labels go into effect on August 10th. Aside from that, its the Same Old Song and Dance.

Does Brexit mean we won't be under TPD?
Afaik what Brexit means is still being debated. One would think they should have done that before a referendum so people actually know what they're voting on...
Probably it's me being silly and having unrealistic ideas about democracy

In a word....NO !
I think this is right, all EU law will be converted into UK law and then your govt can change that later as they like. So if they don't get rid of it the rules will stay. They won't suddenly disappear in March.

THEY DID DEBATE IT.

Problem is, the minute it went through (to the best of my understanding) everyone immediately flipped their lid and changed their mind. Kind of a "Wow, really you should have thought before voting," type situation, I MEAN. It's ONE thing to vote for something (and after a fair amount of public debate) but it is quite another to immediately cry "Foul and unfair," the day AFTERWARD.

I have no dog in the Brexit fight, I must say, but it sort of made USA politics look sane for a moment. Okay, not really but it at least gave US politicians a RUN for its money. So to speak..

I am as stocked up as I'm going to get for awhile and etc. That is just how it is but I am glad I have nic and flavors and batteries and wire and etc coming out my earholes.

Nothing definite changed yet, however. Guess we'll see. I'm waiting with bated breath for CAexit, but I don't think it's going to happen. Etc.

Under the plan they are working on at the moment it seems like the vaping rules won't change at all. The UK version of the rules are restrictive but if they really are as far as it goes then vaping at least stays alive. More expensive and limited choice but safe. In the USA it could die the death of a thousand cuts. Like someone said, if you pluck the chicken one feather at a time nobody notices.

I didn't follow Brexit much since I haven't lived there for 30 years. But I picked up some thoughts from family over there. Firstly people were fed up with the EU and all its rules, and also fed up with the UK government. Leave was a protest vote but a lot of the protesters weren't expecting it to actually go through. Secondly they fell for the politician's lies. The public were told by Leave that leaving would save a huge amount of money that would go to popular programs like Health Care. Thirdly the Stay camp didn't try very hard because they didn't believe it would happen either. I don't know how true that stuff is or how much else was involved. Now they reckon Vlad had his finger in there too on the Leave side.

Despite that the polls I've seen show that the numbers are almost unchanged since the vote, so I don't know.

Whatever happened to that lawsuit against the FDA where another gov agency accused them of dragging their feet and not doing anything about the children/nicotine crisis(as they saw it)? Was it dismissed?

Is this the lawsuit you mean? I'm not sure how to get info on the suit, but it's only been a few months since it was filed.

The Vapor Technology Association submitted a 74 page comment to the FDA in defense of flavored e-liquids. I haven't finished reading it yet, but what I have read is really good. I hope the FDA actually reads it.
