Yes, and so is breathing, if you are prepared to like, tie a concrete block to your ankle and jump in.

I'm just pointing out there are a lot of optional things that like, if you didn't have them, things would suck. Etc.

Sugar and spice, and everything nice...
Snakes and snails, and puppy dog tails...

Don't even know why these phrases came to mind after reading this post, maybe I'm just crazy?

This article is flawed. It claims that nicotine is optional in DIY liquid, while flavors are always used. I see it as quite the opposite. ;)

With DIY it's all optional, but most at least use PG and/or VG, and Nic. Nicotine is optional and so are flavors, but most of us at least add nic to our creations. When you make your own, it's all optional including PG and VG. Some mix one or the other at 100%, but not both.

I guess that's part of the magic of DIY. You get to know what's in your creation and can tailor it to suit your own needs.

Juul gets $2 billion bonus from Altria deal — to be split among its 1,500 employees

I believe that's about 1.5M per, if the caffeine is working... (somewhere in that area).

It may say in the article but I couldn't bring myself to read it. I can't afford regurgitating the coffee this morning.

$1.3M each for its 1500 employees. I wonder how many will stuff that into an investment account and let it grow vs going on a spending spree for vacation homes, RVs, new cars, and other lavish stuff?

Nope, money is different when you actually earn it.

When you win it? It's an entirely different effect.

I'm not completely upset with the juul and its employees, I mean, well, they did what they did and they did it the best?

The shareholders? When you are already rich, richer doesn't really impact you that much (above a certain threshold) other than you create charities and other stuff to hide your richness from the IRS. Or so I hear, anyway.

Eh, they're in San Francisco. That'll cover a couple of months of rent, groceries, and a night out for dinner and a movie.

Merry Christmas everyone!

:D I wasn't sure if I should go public.

Thanks for kovering, Kat. :)

Meanwhile in Connecticut, and to nobody's surprise, our "esteemed" (cough) legislators are proposing a vaping tax. There will be a meeting on 8-Jan (one day before everyone returns to work).

Meanwhile (again) in the UK...

Even the UK has its Negative Nannies:

But Professor Martin McKee, of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, a long-term critic of the promotion of e-cigs, has reservations.
[...]
'While there are lots of anecdotal accounts of people using them to quit, we have yet to see any good evidence from clinical trials, the gold standard method, that they work,' Professor McKee said.
[...]
'Now that we have seen what is happening in the USA, with an explosive growth in e-cigarette use among young people, it is clearer than ever that England is way out of step with the rest of the world.'

Yep. We're all anecdotes here at ECF. And wth does hygeine and tropical medicine have to do with smoking/vaping?

Yeah. Vaping rates go up, smoking down. No correlation at all, just anectdotal.

It's complicated.
