Yes, even on TV.

I've yet to hear a juul ad. But I really only watch sports and ppv movies on tv. And don't really listen to radio much at all. What do the ads say? And where could I hear/see one? Google/Youtube doesn't come up with anything real.
I don't watch much TV, but I do listen to a lot of sports and talk radio. I guess having Altera on board for Juul is at least one benefit for vaping with their Big Tobacco advertising budget.

The radio ads just say Juul is an alternative to smoking. And that it contains nicotine and nicotine is addictive. They can't say it is safer than smoking according to the FDA guidelines.

I listen to WLW700 (Cincinnati) and WTVN (Columbus), both iHeart radio stations.

I thought since they were deemed tobacco products, TV advertising was not allowed.
Apparently not entirely true. Blu and Vuse were advertised on TV and radio.

Big Tobacco has the advertising budget to advertise on TV and radio. Most vape companies, being more Mom & Pop oriented, have never had the advertising dollars to do so.

Please examine your premises. One does not "own" a cat. A cat owns itself and does as it pleases.
True, the cat owned a prior human, who passed away. I will be its replacement pet human. Hopefully I live up to her expectations

From what I recall, the cat owns you. I mean look at you buying it a climbing tree and everything.... That's.... I bet it wasn't your own idea really and it's madness.yo. Anna

My prior cat, which was absconded with by my youngest, loves her cat tree. Every Queen needs a throne, so I have acquired one before the new cat takes possession of us ;)

They have the budget, but cigarette advertising has been banned on TV and radio since 1971.

I remember seeing Blu ads on TV, but thought they stopped after deeming went into effect.
Maybe changes have been made? I'm sure Juul knows how to advertise without getting fined.

Since Altera (Big Tobacco) has purchased a large share of Juul, I've been hearing a lot of radio commercials for Juul. Anyone else noticed this?
Been hearing these adds on sports talk radio here in Chicago for about 5-6 months. However, since they (Altera) purchased a share of Juul, have been hearing on political channels along with some music channels as well. Seems every commercial break has one of these adds now.

Not having heard a tobacco commercial in almost 50 years, and never having heard a vape ad, I'd be interested to hear one.
Have the ads changed at all since the Altria investment?

No, they are basically the same concept before and after the investment. Usually has a person talking about how smoking became an anti-social behavior and how the Juul has helped that person to stop or cut back on smoking. It kind of sounds like stuff we read on this forum all the time.

I couldn't find any Juul TV ads on You Tube, but Blu has a couple.

    F*** you VooPoo...and ... Ben Phillips?

Sorry, Bill - no offense to you (so I gave you a like anyway:thumb:). But I could only watch a min or two of this. When I first started vaping, I thought a couple of Vic's reviews were well done. Now, the guy is just so thoroughly impressed with himself, I just can't watch him any more. Might've been a good commentary, though.

No, he was upset with VooPoo sponsoring a show geared mostly for kids. Years of advocacy and it all goes down the tubes from one VooPoo sponsored show. And frankly, Vic is right. It is companies like VooPoo who is going to end up getting vaping banned for all of us. :(

I hate to say it but there has been and is something MARKEDLY ditzy about Voopoo's marketing campaign as if it's like created by a bunch of kids in a sandbox with no clue what they are doing to the industry. Starting with it's NAME I mean, okay I totally GET that the US has done it's share of tragic "Let's call a car Breakdown in Bolivian" and whatnot but then you CHANGE the name, etc.

They are doing damage and no offense to kids actually. Voopoo is just clueless and weird.

I effectively never watch TV and only listen to the radio in the car when I'm on the road, which is not all that regularly. I do recall hearing a well-known national talk-show host plugging Juul last fall, but that was before the Altria investment.
