There are so many people jumping on the anti-vaping bandwagon. It's become a popularity contest.
It's gang behavior. If something doesn't directly impact a person, it's more comfortable to go along with the crowd. Think of history. It's a rare person who has the gonads to stand up for what's right, even if doesn't directly benefit him/her.

How is it that New York can be so GREAT and so horrible at the same time, as a state. I mean it's INCREDIBLE. NYC is WILD. Some of the state is like, INCREDIBLY beautiful.

I will say, this 9/11 a LOT of unfortunate things happened to me. For one it's my mom's birthday so I had to call and have her blithely tell me she was "with your sister, because it is fun for me."

Times my mother has called our interactions "fun" um, I don't even KNOW:? Then she had to repeat my sister's OWED phone call COMMENT and like, that sucked, causing me to reevaluate my whole family dynamic. I even wrote an email that I did NOT send. That's bad. I mean, it's good. But, it is ALSO bad.

But not ONE person I interacted with mentioned terrorism and whatnot. I'm sure it was because vaping was burning down the house. But, it was still PLEASANT.

It was like.... Oh thank God moving on.

We don't need smart bombs if you ask me. We need stupid bombs, and by that I mean bombs that target the criminally stupid. That and like well, we don't need any special bombs to deal with politicians. The regular kind may.... You know. I'm just saying, I could do without the reflecting pool et al. It is FULL of duck poop and I found that out.... barefoot and drunk. Not the best way. Maybe the best way?

Also I was trying to decide between banging the HOTTEST waiter who was pining away for his lost love while I was pining away for mine, and this really sweet and Perfectly attractive sous chef who would have carried the Olympic torch the whole way for my kiss.

I think we all know who I picked. Good times. Man, when I was drunk and young I really did not do the greatest job of picking dudes AT ALL. My sister came home with some AWESOME dude pining for her too she was like 21 I was like 25. I told her she was NUTBALLS insane not to date him but she just wouldn't. Then I asked if I could have him, but like me and my sister attract like the OPPOSITE of dudes. I told her she would be sorry later. She did not understand. LOL.

Hurry! Hurry!

We have to Ban it before the Public Figures out that Vaping Nicotine Isn't the Problem.
OK, to be fair, and by now you all should all know my opinion of inflammatory crap and bad science, but check this article out:
https://nypost.com/2019/09/15/vaping-mom-left-in-coma-from-mystery-lung-illness/

Nowhere in there does it mention THC nor CBD. It reads like a hit-piece from the ANTZ. I mean "Oh, I just started vaping because everyone was doing it and the flavors, and then I got hooked on nic." And now she comes down with a mystery illness. And she's been at it only a few years. And the symptoms sound the same as the THC + vit-a street cart issues.

I'd almost swear there's a psyops operation going on. Or some weird contaminant that also made it into Juul. If she was only vaping flavored nic......

What the heck?

Maybe just incomplete story. You be the judge. That, and there's a thread here:
Watched a video and it got me curious on this study
Now here, the mouse study showed lipid accumulation from vaping PG/VG (lipids from the body's own tissues).

So WTHeck is with this timing and such?

I mean, I've been vaping over 9 years now.
What.
Is.
Going.
On.

When it's isolated to the THC street-cart, it makes some sense. But these two links are putting me on edge.
Thoughts?

I'm so Discussed Right Now. I can Barely type.

If I felt that Extreme Stupidity was driving All This, I could Almost Except it. But BOTH the Media and these Pin Head Government Officials know Exactly what is Going On.

And they are Purposely throwing Nicotine Vapers Under the Bus in the name of "Public Health".

Gimmie a :censored: Break.

Remember MonaVie ? That acai berry juice that was touted a few years back ?
The owners are now selling CBD products and it's quite trendy with the young moms. My niece is now selling it out in California. She thoroughly has swallowed the company pitch hook, line and sinker.
It's a :censored: storm waiting to happen.
As I have said before what scares me about the lack if information getting out about vaping the other stuff with oils...people hear you can vape CBD...Oh ! I have a bottle of those drops I use...I'll vape that.
This story screams that.

I think anyone coming in with these lung issues should have a mandatory urine test.

I don't know, Atty. This is a NYP article, probably written just AFTER Trump announced his flavor ban and BEFORE he started backpedaling.

Mouse study. Right. I'll cite another study, actually a scientific paper, which describes how PG is used as a diluent and a placebo in LUNG TRANSPLANT PATIENTS.

Inhaled Cyclosporine and Pulmonary Function in Lung Transplant Recipients

"Inhaled cyclosporine administration
After receiving 2% lidocaine inhalation (3 ml) and 2.5 mg of albuterol, patients were given inhaled cyclosporine mixed in propylene glycol (62.5 mg/ml) or placebo (propylene glycol alone)administered initially for ten consecutive days, then thrice weekly using a commercially available jet nebulizer (AeroTech II, CIS-US, Bedford, MA). "

Pick your article, pick your study.

Cuomo is banning flavors, England is opening vape shops in HOSPITALS to helps smoking patients quit.

Bingo! And CDC is refusing to test--they choose to rely on self-reporting of scared teenagers and their clueless parents. Wonder why... God have mercy!

Somewhere out there
To be clear, THC has been vaped for years--many, many years. It's not the issue any more than nicotine is. (ETA for extra clarity: THC products seem to be the issue. I'm just saying that THC itself is not, or does not appear to be. I think we need to be really clear on this)
Correct when oil, Vit E is mixed with anything it should not be vaped.

Well, that makes me feel better about PG anyway. ;)

But IDK how long that lasted. I mean, vaping for 9 years...

But OK, maybe I'll up my PG to VG ratio. ;)

It's dated today.

And frankly, I feel like I'm in the Twilight zone. All this timing is just so...convenient...for some parties.

Maybe that's just how it works in our modern era. Collective consciousness and angst. IDK.

I bet he'd vape. Just say'n.

OK... I got it Together enough to post something that wouldn't get me a Timeout in the Sin Bin.

If a Public Health Agency or an Elected Official is going to Implement a Flavor Ban, with the Rational that they have to to Stem Underage e-Cigarette use, where is the Quantitative Data that Shows just How Many Kids/Teens are Not going to use an e-Cigarette if Flavors e-Liquids are Not available?

And where is the Data to show this will have a Significant Effect on Stopping Minor from Trying an e-Cigarette that contains Nicotine?

:tumble:

If they are going to put an Entire Market Segment out of work, and Close Tens of Thousands of Small Businesses, shouldn't they, At Least, have to make some type of Statutory Justification that is entered into the Public Record so it can be Reviewed?

These people are Supposed to be "Public Servants". Not Kings who's word is Law.

Where is the Data that Justifies Banning Flavors? And where are the Financial Impact Reports on those who are going to be Kicked to the Curb by all this?

:-x

I don't get that at all. I know how the online sites check age. The only way teens could do it would be for them to have an adult's credit card. And driving license in some cases. There's no way I can see to catch that. So they did a study where they gave teens an adult's credit card and had them buy stuff online. Don't know what that proves other than that you can buy stuff online with a credit card. And how did the 4 vendors who managed to pass their test spot the fraud?

IMO: The point is that they KNOW 96 out 100 were able to make a purchase and have the products ship to them. The 4 that weren't able to make a purchase is irrelevant to the 96 who did.

IMO: wouldn't take long before they'll be buying it for each other or selling to each other. Thus it establishes a black market and organized network of sellers and buyers within the youth groups. Where the same products are still available.

I don't see, chemically speaking, how glycerol would be any less harmful than PG; a sugar/alcohol molecule is a sugar/alcohol molecule. Both are easily metabolized by our bodies (on paper, at least). If you're really worried, try vaping defensively--you don't have to inhale deeply into your lungs to get your nic from e-cigs. Heck, you don't have to inhale at all. And then there are all those lovely dissolvables--gums, Swedish snus, nicotine crystals. They all work. I have a box of very old Ariva and Stonewall dissolvables (now discontinued) and they still work when I can't vape.
