If the FDA is releasing the flavor ban this week as rumored, the United States Vaping Association- USVA is ready. Status update from our principal attorney Jerad Najvar.

Gah! Facebook blockage again. Still haven’t decided if I consider that a good or bad thing. I don’t like Facebook data mining. It’s not as bad as many of course, but that doesn’t make it OK. I do occasionally need to know what is on Facebook though.

It’s literally what they were designed for. The vine ripening thing which caused their supermarket popularity in the 70’s is the only reason they’re visible to the general public at all. They’re an absolutely gigantic plum tomato. A crazy artifact of traditional style genetic manipulation. Like French bulldogs. So are heirloom tomatoes of course. They were bred for different traits.
Greetings, fellow botanical enthusiast. I'm finding my interest in plants is growing again (pun intended). I trained in horticulture, but never pursued it as a career. Poor timing with other life events.

There must not be a tomato thread on ECF.
Applicable to both meanings of “must not”. You are correct. It’s off topic.

FLAVOR BAN IN TOLEDO, OHIO KILLED.

From Jeff Jarvis, president of Ohio Vaper Trade Association, "Big Win in Toledo Ohio! Flavor Ban Killed! This is due to the hard work of Jay Perry, Bradley Everett, Jimmy Shearer, Terrance Pounds, Matt Smith and the vape community in the Toledo area, both businesses and comsumers! You all said NOT IN MY HOUSE! Thank you all for your hard work! We are lucky to have you all!"

Details of the agreement between Toledo City Council and OVTA were not provided. Details will be forthcoming. Advocates seemed very happy with the overall results. This success could set a presedence for other cities, counties, states.

The following Toledo Blade newspaper article is what the Toledo vaping community was up against.

Vape shop owners, users ask council to reconsider proposed flavor ban

Above is but a small victory for one Ohio city. A bigger problem still exists. We must continue to contact the White House daily to be successful for the bigger picture. We make a bigger impression with larger numbers.

The White House needs to hear from adult vapers and anyone who loves a vaper! A flavor ban won’t protect our children, but it will kill their parents.

We need to:
Light Up The Switchboard
At The Whitehouse!
Ph: 202-456-1414
or
202-456-1111

On your call:

  • The operator will likely ask where they can direct your call
  • Simply tell them that flavored vapor products saved your life; and,
  • tell them “We Vape, We Vote.
Be polite, be brief, and say thank you.

I use Privacy Badger, it blocks facebook, is there another source?
I tried to find another source for the video, but came up short. I thought that the non-Facebook site for USVA might have the video, but it's not on there. I couldn't come close to understand or explain the technical jargon in the video myself. I guess you all will have to wait to see the results as it occurs, or else get a Face Book account.

I get nearly all of my vape news from my Face Book news feed, so its well worth it to me. Social media is here to stay, folks. I just signed on as a member of Twitter, myself.

Thanks Bad, can I donate to the USVA at a lower $ amount than $100? I'm strapped for cash atm, but want to support the war effort. Good video, thank you for posting it.

Stay it may while I just stay away. My loss, my choice.

YAY!

You can get decent ones from Mexico, actually (IMHO) but I am not a minder of thick skin. I have to have thick skin. Also, I have to note, you'd think Douglas would be BURSTING with lovely Mexican produce but NO, they ship it to Tucson (like everything else.) Dude, I may need to set the husband to gardening. I'm sure he'd LOVE that.

I wouldn't mind a roma tomato flavor come to think. They are fruits after all. I bet FranC would love one. I will have to mention it on her thread.

Well, they do contain nicotine and they're flavored...

It's the high nic eggplant that I'm most worried about.:D
Any plant that has even a tiny bit of nicotine in it could be bred to useful levels. Get ecigs out of the “tobacco product” catagory maybe? Doubtful. BT was very careful when it lashed itself via legislation to ecigs.

There are things in my life which I have come to regret, and things which I have not. Deleting my old Facebook account is one of those things for which I have no regret. I have no issue with it existing but personally cannot stand it.

My daughter uses it, I don't; she likes it, keeps in touch with people from way back. Once when she as real young she wanted to know why i didn't where a hat like the neighbor did. I said that I did not like them, her reply was, "Well some daddies do and some daddies don't". She was satisfied. Never forgot that.

Yes. Your point?

Responding to bombastinator's comment:

"PLEASE Californians, STAY in California. Do not move to my beloved Texas and try to mold it into the blank-hole that you made of your own state." ...which is part of what happened to Austin.

from google:
How many people move to Austin from California?
While many from across the U.S. are relocating to Austin, TX, those moving from California are by far the most notable. Between 2010 and 2014, Austin saw an increase of approximately 15,000 new residents from California alone. That's roughly 3,000 per year.May 21, 2019
