More like: I don't always use nicotine gum, but when I do, it's because I'm flying.

On a plane. Not flying from the nicotine.
Okay, well maybe a little bit.

I have also put a few drops on my tongue before in a pinch.

Put them under your tongue, instead of on it, and then don't swallow for at least 30 seconds. That's what I did on three 5-6 hour long flights (Orlando to Seattle, Anchorage to Seattle, and Seattle back to Orlando) last summer. It worked like a charm! I never felt like I needed to vape at all during those flights.

I decided to try it...because I'd been taking sublingual vitamin B-12, and it was very easily absorbed. My level had been really low, but after only 1 month of taking it that way, every other day...it was back to the higher end of the normal range. Figured it if worked that well with the B-12...I'd give it a try with eliquid on my flights. I'll definitely use that method on any lengthy flights from now on. :)

I could not catch up. I am just going to say I distinctly remember Trump being all Rah Rah about the FDA letting drugs that have been tested and shown efficacy in other countries being allowed in, it was a Campaign Promise I believe.

I have a list of things I'd like to have imported:
Stablon (the French are like THE BOMB they were all, "merde to you, USA, we don't want your freaking money.") This is a novel, one of a class antidepressant that works BETTER than the SSRIs. It actually somehow DOWN regulates serotonin in some weird way but that's fine because some people need MORE glutamate, serotonin is a cheap shot.) Anyway, it's as good as or better than the SSRIs with NO side effects, other than if you have asthma it may improve it.

Eliquids and gear from every other country. Open the floodgates Trump, and help us with shipping costs. Now that nicotine is a drug.

Oh there's a bunch of others, I won't bore you.

Do it. Stop focusing on the damn ecigs and let us have ALL the cool stuff you promised, I would LOVE to not have to pay like 70 bucks in shipping for my snus, for example.'

Oh, power is a dangerous game. It surely is....

The DIY nicotine toothpicks do work.

I did just under 24 hour soak in a menthol and peppermint blend.

My liquid batch size was about 1/4 of the recipe, 1/4 the toothpicks, and I used slightly under 1/8 of the total nicotine, in terms of nominal mg/toothpick (e.g., about 150 mg of nicotine in my liquid).

After a couple hours drying time I tested one (the rest are getting more drying time before going into a dispenser). The flavor comes through nicely, and after a bit I could tell that nicotine was being absorbed.

Cheap, effective, no problem using these in places vaping isn't allowed. The nic level is better for me than a 2mg nic lozenge, which was too high (I vape 30 ml/day, but only in the 2 mg zone).

Yep! Once I found out how well it worked with the B-12...I thought, why not try it with my 7mg eliquid? All it requires, too, is a tiny bottle of eliquid carried in your pocket. There's nothing different to prepare, buy, or make, and no trying to sneak a vape, etc.

The original recipe said to let them dry out afterwards.
Left in the liquid, I'm assuming your just using for a short time use ... like flying.
If I wanted to constantly have them available for when I may unexpectedly need them, I would think it would be safer to dry them.
How long do you think they would stay effective after drying ??

I would buy it again for an airplane or similar situation where vape was not possible

remember the last time I was on a plane, big guy on the right row opened his chair table and put his head on his arms kind of like sleeping, than he grabbed his vape pod and went for few hits, exhaling into his shirt. I think nobody (besides me) noticed it, then he closed the table and looked around, noticed my smile and winked to me.
A bit risky but they won't drop you off I guess. At least not for the 1st time.:danger:

it was a flight from London )
do you do that often during flights? never had problems?
I do it all the time if I am flying with multiple family members. I take the window seat and make them sit in the middle and the aisle seats (and if there are a ton of us, have them sit in the opposing row). I use a pod system for flights that is fully concealed in my hand and then I hold the hits until there is no vapor left, then just out of paranoia I exhale slowly into my shirt like that guy did. Never had an issue.

Kat Timpf is a true libertarian.

The level of knowledge among those in congress, HHS, and the media is appalling. They don’t even try.

Good article. I think in this case there really is a lack of understanding of the complexities of the issue in the areas she mentioned. I think it's a fairly rare case though. A lot of the time they probably do understand the issues and make their perverse decisions based on party loyalty or money. It probably wouldn't make a difference with most of them if they did understand the intricacies of vaping.

She mentioned the time it takes to gain an understanding of complex issues. I read once that, outside of time in their place of work and party meetings, around 70% of the working time of lawmakers is spent meeting with potential donors, and 5% meeting with ordinary constituents, so they are very well versed in the feelings of the wealthy and powerful on issues and not so much with the feelings of "the people". They undoubtedly spend a lot more time meeting with BT and BP lobbyists who can offer them future employment and election funding than they do with constituents who might vape.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Back in 1997, I was on a flight to Europe on a European airliner. You were allowed to smoke, but you had to buy a seat for the smoking section, which was at the back of the plane.

But people who didn't have smoking seats would just go back there to stand and smoke, but you weren't allowed to stand and smoke. So every few minutes a steward would come in and tell everyone standing and smoking to leave.

So your hope was that when you went back there someone had left their seat and you would just sit in it and smoke until they came back. It was the only way you had any chance at possibly finishing your cigarette lol

It's was kind of a funny game, yet really annoying.

OK, y'all can get back to your regularly scheduled programming.

yes, the good old days. I don't smoke anymore, nor fly hardly ever. But, it was fun drinking and smoking even on domestic US flights. Food was acceptable...not great, but acceptable. Seats were larger...not large, but larger. I could go on, but no point.

Why can't more reporters be educated like this one?: Trump Administration -- FDA’s Vape Ban Is What Happens When People Legislate What They Don’t Understand | National Review

(With the exception of her not knowing how to properly use a tank based system) lol
    Or a a decent squonker. :p
What’s more, as a vaper who has tried “open tank” systems — which the administration exempts from the ban — I find absolutely no solace in this fact, as I know from experience how fiddling with these sorts of systems often inevitably results in your hands and furniture and purses and life getting completely soaked with nicotine liquid.
I'm sorry, but that's nonsense. I've been using open systems for over six years straight and have never had anything soaked with e-liquid other than the wicks in my atties.
