Or a a decent squonker. :p

I'm sorry, but that's nonsense. I've been using open systems for over six years straight and have never had anything soaked with e-liquid other than the wicks in my atties.
Oh, I dunno. When learning how to wick a new tank, I've wondered if I'm wearing more on my hands from juice leaking down my mod, than what I am vaping. haha

In her defense, if the last time she tried a open system (including cartos) was like 10-12 years ago, original tanks did not have things like gaskets/o-ring, topfill... etc and could get messy with leaking issues (or during filling cartos)... but if she had tried any time in the past 5-7 or so years tanks have come a long way and she is obviously doing something wrong. lol

That's what sucks about Deeming... it is going to put a halt on innovation and improvements. Think back 10-12 years ago and look how far things have come. After deeming we will be stuck with a limited variety and extremely slow progress while the rest of the world sees spectacular advancements.

If there is any progress in the US at all given the costs of PMTA. I don't see very many companies even trying outside of BT.

Someone should send her a link to the forum so we can teach her how to not make a mess with a tank.
She should've included in the article a link to the Billion Lives documentary/movie too.

The original recipe said to let them dry out afterwards.
Left in the liquid, I'm assuming your just using for a short time use ... like flying.
If I wanted to constantly have them available for when I may unexpectedly need them, I would think it would be safer to dry them.
How long do you think they would stay effective after drying ??

You quoted a line of my post, (about carrying a small bottle of eliquid to put a few drops under the tongue while flying, etc). But...your post in response to it...was about the nicotine toothpicks. Must've just grabbed the wrong person's post to quote? :?:

a tax might get the govt to leave us alone,
No, it's not even a might. If they can tax, they'll try to do more.. and more..
better a tax than a ban.
Ya, I'd much rather pay 3 grand for a liter that costs me not much more than half a hundred bucks.

eta: removed suzieqz's tag from the quotes, didn't want her to think I was directly responding to her.

I am OK with a standard State Sales Tax, but they can take a "Sin Tax" and put it where the sun dont shine.

    This.

As of 2016 approximately half the cost of a pack of cigarettes was made up of taxes. Sin taxes, like the MSA funds, were put in place to supposedly pay the cost of treating public health consequences. Of course we all know that's definitely not where the money is going.

Amen! There are no sin taxes on gum, patches or Chantix and vape products should be treated the same. End of story.

The only "sin" is government's addiction to such taxes.

    Good luck. :)

Received a somewhat scary email from one of my favorite vendors...

“31-JAN-2020 Pod systems will no longer be available for purchase.”

This company is always on the upside of safety in regards to “laws”.

They were the first online vendor to reduce their JUUL offerings to only mint / tobacco, as they used to sell every other flavor, alongside empty pods as well.

Seems to me, if they’re cutting pod systems off their site, that it’s a sure sign of pod systems being banned.

Needless to say, I placed a good sized order of my favorite pods, and an extra battery.

I had just placed my standard “re-stock” order of pods and other supplies.

I primarily use my larger mods/tanks for daily vaping, but my little pod systems have their place...

Boy will the wife be confused when so many packages arrive so closely together.

She’s glad I don’t smoke, but she looks at me like I’m Alex Jones when I start talking about preparing for the Vapocalypse, and start stocking up on supplies.

Sadly, the wool has been pulled over her eyes for too long, and she just doesn’t understand what’s at stake here.

Now the Nanny-State US government (The Nanny States of America) is writing laws which affect my ability to choose what I want to buy, as a consenting adult...who is almost twice the NEW legal age to buy “tobacco products”.

Maybe if these idiotic laws start to negatively impact me in a way she can better see, she might “wake up”...

    Good luck to you all!

it was estimated to cost something in the range of $1 000 000 :2c: per product
which makes it pretty much no sense to even try for the most part.
Only big ones will survive and will share what's left from the US vaping industry pie.
Wasn't that the initial plan?

Please note that all these figures are generously low, but still prove a point. If a 'mom and pop' type vape shop offers 12 different flavors in 2 different sizes and 4 different nic levels, to the FDA that is 96 separate products, each of which will require a separate PMTA with a cost maybe as low as $350,000 for each one. That's a total cost of $33,600,000! That's a pretty expensive pie!
