The next couple of weeks are going to be a difficult time for us all here to watch. And especially the days after Sept 9th. Incredibly there are still vapers out there who have no idea of what's coming or what it means. Those on the east coast of the US know what it means already.

Anybody who can afford to smoke can afford a bottle of nic in the freezer. At least one of the online nic suppliers claims they will be submitting a PTMA and doing business after 9/9 but I don't think anybody should count on that. I wonder, is this armageddon really going to go down with no blowback? Is customs really going to stop consumer packages? So far all I've read is FDA is after stuff the kids like.

My view is pods succeeded because vapers wanted more discrete devices because government and the press stirred up hostility towards vaping which caught the attention of kids who accepted the pods but mostly passed on the bigger, clunky open systems. And presumably juul filed a PTMA and will be for sale after the deadline and of course the kids will get them as they do now. So what has been accomplished? The products the kids don't like are harder to get. The stuff they do like is still for sale.

If kids cared about flavor, we wouldn't have started drinking shlitz beer :)
If kids are all about flavors, why did I start smoking at 13? I remember how bad it tasted but I didn't care, apparently. I know from past conversations here that many of us started at about that age.

I'm stocked, locked, and loaded thanks to all the helpful shoppers sharing deals over the past 2 years or so. But you know, 9/9 is my birthday and I feel like I just need to buy myself something new. It may be my last (legal) hardware purchase so I want it to count, ya know?

If flavor was so important nobody would start smoking, particularly kids. All I wanted from my first puff (which I remember) was to blow a smoke ring like my companion. Would have been much better if that first puff could be on an ecig. I don't get the cry poverty over stockpiling. Smoking a carton a week cost me $3,000 a year. My cost of ingredients for DIY, 10 cents a day. Vaping is not cheap it's free.

I got a reply from river supply re: vape kitchen e juice and they are not going to go through the pmta process, so no more Vape Kitchen. :(:(:(
Odd since they released their time schedule to be ready to offer their services for pmta testing.

At some point 3D printer sales will probably increase and the modding forum will come alive again with "how do I wire this" threads. Unfortunately, this may also mean that battery explosions become more common.
And if anyone dies, it'll be reported as covid19

I don't understand how they can afford that?
Sounds like they (or their lawyers) figured out a good way to leverage the "bundling" option for the PMTA. I would love to see it.

PMTA content for certain types of ENDS products.

FDA anticipates that a single premarket submission may cover multiple products and may include a single, combined cover letter and table of contents across all products. When FDA receives a premarket submission that covers multiple, distinct new tobacco products, we intend to consider information on each product as a separate, individual PMTA. Therefore, it is important that you clearly identify what content pertains to each distinct product and show that you have satisfied the requirements of section 910(b)(1) for each product. For example, FDA considers each ENDS product with a differing flavor variant and/or nicotine strength to be a different product. In such a case, an applicant may submit a single premarket submission for the group of ENDS products, clearly delineating which information overlaps and is applicable to all products and which information is specific to a single product (e.g., a specific flavoring or nicotine strength).
