Midnight 9-9-2020 is just a few hours a way.
Less than 30 here in Michigan. I'm going to take a bit of a road trip tomorrow to the nearest Mr eliquid shop. The founders were the first vendor I met in 2012 at a little vape meetup in a bar, carrying their tackle boxes full of liquid and hand written labels on the new flavors. Time to go full circle and maybe pick up more of those perfect 30ml triangular bottles too. I'm tempted to stop by Ahlusion on the way home too.

Premature nostalgia, I guess.

How Will the PMTA Deadline Affect Vapers and the Industry? - Vaping360

"As for enforcement, it’s almost impossible to envision the FDA making a serious attempt to cut off the flow of vaping products coming in from overseas. That doesn’t mean the agency won’t try, but it would require a huge expenditure of time and resources with no real payoff."

"Hardware PMTA enforcement almost has to be put in the “we’ll see what happens when it happens” category. And it may never happen. Even if it does, enforcement of imports will target products intended to be sold in the U.S., and won’t affect individual vapers who order products for personal use from Chinese retailers."

"But how big the illegal market becomes will be directly related to which products the agency approves, and how stringent their enforcement is. If no flavored e-liquids receive approval, a massive portion of the vaping market will immediately go underground. Vapers will get flavors; it’s up to the FDA whether they’ll be buying legal or illegal products."

I hesitated to post this because I won't give the name of the retailer, so it may sound like worthless info to some of you. But I don't trust this clown system they call government and I believe they are or will be monitoring this site.

But I contacted a vape retailer (not a hugely popular one and mostly sells older gear) that I have made many orders with the past 9 months, asking them if they are going to take their vape products off their site tomorrow. I asked them because I want to make another purchase but I can't do it before tomorrow.

They replied about an hour ago and said they have no intention to stop selling any vape gear.

So looks like some sites are indeed planning on going rogue. Probably a good many are.

Luv it! :headbang:

I wonder if there is any penalty for BUYING vape related after the 9th? At a rogue store.

None that I Know of. For your State or at the Federal Level.

BTW - How would you Know if you were Buying something that was "Legal" to Sell or Not?

BTW. Has the FDA published that list of PMTAs yet? Have they responded formally to Azim's Petition? Do they have any idea what the :censored: they are doing? Do they know and understand their own laws and regulations?

No to all of your questions. But in regards to the last ones, that's not stopping them.

    No.
    I Don't Think they Care.
    Do they Need to?
They have to Enforce It To Know What is In It.

Well on a positive note, we won't be joining CA in a flavor ban, thanks to our Gov DeSantis in FL…

I would guess that my mistrust of the gubmint rivals yours...but IF they have the resources to actually monitor E-Cig Forums..then we are, indeed, DOOMED!!!

Not necessarily. We've been discussing this here earlier at length.

The bill makes no provisions that ban the import of the banned items for personal consumption, only for "sale or distribution." (Division A Title II Section 201 [14])

The TCA makes no provision for that, but regulations for the importation of tobacco are and have been in place before the TCA and it prohibits it for personal use. That's why the FDA links to the USCBP an dnot the TCA.

    .

When it comes to the government, taxes, and nicotine control, they will find the resources. If there is one thing the govt doesn't like is not being able to control and profit from nicotine addicts and addicts in general. It's more profitable than income taxation.
