I have no illusions of ever finding out who put the usps ban in the bill. These cowardly pols dog pile these bills for that exact reason.

Senate bill - sponsor Diane Feinstein - 27 co-sponsors including VP-Elect K. Harris

Cosponsors - S.1253 - 116th Congress (2019-2020): Preventing Online Sales of E-Cigarettes to Children Act | Congress.gov | Library of Congress

House bill - Sponsor - Rosa DeLauro - 32 co-sponsors

Cosponsors - H.R.3942 - 116th Congress (2019-2020): Preventing Online Sales of E-Cigarettes to Children Act | Congress.gov | Library of Congress

It's hard to get your head around this stuff. You might say the politicians are just reflecting the will of the voters, which is kind of their job. A large percentage of the people have been brainwashed into believing that vaping is evil. We complain when politicians ignore the will of the people, but we complain about them following the will of the people when we think the people are wrong.

On the other hand the pols motives are always murky. Maybe some of them understand that the bad rap against vaping is unfair but vote to ban it anyway because if they don't they will be punished by the anti-vaping voters. And be tagged as not caring about the kids by their next opponent. Some of them probably really believe vaping is bad. Some of them have been bribed by BT and BP.

Being able to thoroughly see another persons point of view is worth using binoculars. Many politicians (and voters) don't spend the time to consider the effects of decisions, or care enough to dig in. There's so many, and vaping seems to the unsung masses like a slam dunk issue, one that's easy to vilify.

...have marketing campaigns have become the most powerful tool in controlling thought?

When the "fake news" message starting pushing into the common mindset, I was a little happy. At least there was some questioning of facts. But I noticed that the same folks who crafted the original fake messages are the same ones fact checking them? Which makes sense. If you own a news outlet and make ink by the barrel full, controlling the message is a professional endeavor. Imagine if your paying job were to write and report on issues. Since most of us don't do that, our reach is small.

The number one job of any politician is to be re-elected. Stick a finger in the wind and vote. Not exactly a "Profile in Courage" to shamelessly paraphrase a book title.

Actually, education is. There's enough propaganda in the curricula, to spin any 'facts' that are taught - from pre-school tp doctorate. As a result, industries, professionals, including marketing, media, social media, entertainment, sports, science, etc. are all affected (infected). Ironically, many of the laws (and marketing) use children as a 'gateway' to restrict all, where children were their first propaganda victims.

Sure. Everything you said is right.
But, for me there are two issues. (Probably more than two.)
First is, (regardless of the will of the voters) can you so easily prevent adults from engaging in personal acts, which in and of themselves do not harm others. I get that these bills don't prohibit vaping. But, the end result may be the same.
Second, the protect the kiddies aspect is so much ....**t. Do these pathetic parents want to see their babies drink booze? If not, then they should ban booze. But, of course, since they imbibe, they wouldn't want to cut into their "sins", so they'll never ban that. But, since they don't vape, then they're only restricting the rights of others, which is ok with them.

Land of the free and home of the brave. That'll be my motto from here on.

I'd give you a big red X, but I won't.

Land of the free, home of the brave!!! f all that noise
It's supposed to be a free country, I'm a big girl, I can take it.

Gotta ask, you wear one of those gag rags everywhere you go? To keep on topic, it must be awful hard to vape with one...

    Somewhere between here and there
I haven't bought anything from Cigabuy in a very long time but got an email this morning saying that they were back up and running with credit card payment options since I guess paypal dropped them.

I've been to every vaping site, so I thought. What's Cigabuy?

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Just another China vendor. I bought a few things from them years ago. The shipping was super slow.

Yeah, their shipping went up just like most of the others. And their prices these days are kinda high. They are another retailer, like healthcabin.net, where I only buy clearance items that are super clearance priced.
