I don't know whether to like or dislike. LOL.
What is a fagrag? It'll probably be something I should know, but...

Well, there's at least one vape lawsuit still going on. The chances of this suit being accepted by the Supreme Court and winning seems rather remote. If the USVA were to win this case, it could cause a major change to the way Congress writes a lot of laws in the US.

Good read and good luck to them. Sonds like they'll need all they can get.

On reading that article I found another article that reports that the Dept of HHS smacked-down the FDA for trying to slap distilleries and eliquid companies with a $14K punishment for doing a good deed by producing hand sanitizer in the midst of a crisis where hand sanitizer was needed, but hard to find.

Not being snide - I mean more like "hopeful" as MY response.

The FDA deeming crap, pretty much as they see fit, without any logic or debate, IS the issue to take to court. I'd like to sue them just for requiring that someone label a plastic box with a battery in it as a "tobacco product".

What's ironic is that the incidents with loose 18650's mainly occurred a few years ago when mechs were the rage.
I still see lots on FB. But more often using mod as charger, or torn wraps. And the ones I have seen don't pipe bomb like mechs did

I'm thinking this one may be a result of more recent events ('nuff said and I'm S'ingTFU now).

I've been using a mech mod with an 18650 battery for years. Never had a problem. Then again, I never stuck one in my pocket with loose change or keys. Nor did I ever use a coil that was too low an ohm for the battery I was using.

I'm sure suppliers like Orbtronic are going to shut down any minute now.

Next, we're going to hear we shouldn't use a hair dryer while take a bath. Wait for it.

Newer ones, maybe, but they started with 18650s.

The 85 kWh battery pack weighs 1,200 lb (540 kg)[135][better source needed] and contains 7,104 lithium-ion battery cells in 16 modules[136] wired in series (14 in the flat section and two stacked on the front).[137] Each module contains 6 groups of 74 cells[138] wired in parallel; the 6 groups are then wired in series within the module.[138][139][140][141] As of June 2012, the battery pack used modified Panasonic cells with nickel-cobalt-aluminum cathodes.[142] Each cell was of the 18650 form factor (i.e., an 18 mm diameter, 65 mm height cylinder), similar to the Panasonic NCR18650B cell that has an energy density of 265 Wh/kg.[143] Analysts estimate battery cost to be around 21–22% of the car cost.[144]
