If I'm not mistaken, @Brewdawg1181 uses and likes the Vuse Alto.

Fer sher.
Yeah, they're actually pretty good. I use them fairly regularly, and prefer the Rich tobacco 5%. You wouldn't want to pay the price to use them exclusively, though. And I'd prefer not to give BT my money anymore (but I'm in it for me, not to make a statement). A 2 pack of pods is around $10, and since I use mostly rta's, that lasts me about a couple of weeks, generally. Sometimes I don't use them at all for a couple of weeks when I run out. But it's good to have a passable alternative available at a convenience store when you want/need one. And just about every store has them.

The hit from one is exponentially better than a Juul. I only do diy NET tobacco, but find both their Golden and Rich tobaccos taste very good. Better than other non-nets I've tried. I've been told they use Halo juice- Freedom and another variety, I forget which. About a year ago when I first tried them, they had issues where some pods would taste burnt very quickly, but that seems to be fixed. It's really a very reliable little pocket pod. No leaks, and the only issue ever is that if I carry in my pocket a long time, and it gets warm, sometimes it'll gurgle a little. Twist a little piece of paper towel, insert in the mouthpiece for about 5 seconds, and it's fixed.

My son was using Juul, but continued to smoke a little. When he tried my Alto, he switched, and was able to quit smokes altogether, so there's that.

You guys just reminded me I have a working Juul, recharge case and a good amount of pods laying around. I even have some Creme Brulee pods (now banned) that I've been sitting on!

Going to start taking this on trips out of the house instead of nothing like I have been.

Assuming the coil is still good once the liquid is vaped-up, I reckon a 1-2mm hole near the top of the pod with some sort of plug (like a tiny screw or silicone, or even tape), could make it a refillable pod and save a person quite a bit of money there...assuming they have access to eliquid.

Would be interesting to see how long one of those coils lasts beyond the initial factory fill of liquid.

Not too long, I'm guessing. The tobacco flavor, I sometimes toss when there's a little bit at the end, as it starts tasting burnt. Maybe if you dump one, and fill with a different juice, or unflavored, you could get more mileage. But tiny as they are, I suspect the buildup would mean a short life.

You'd know best, but I wonder if that's because the juice is too low to reach the wick?
Probably not- it gets very gradually a little worse through the pod most times, so I don't think it's a wicking issue. I don't know, I've thought about tearing one up to see about rebuilding, but I'm too lazy, and it's not worth it for my net juice. I think it's mostly because it's a tiny coil, tiny amount of wick. And it's almost 2 ml going thru it. So judging by what 2ml of store bought tobacco flavored non-net looked like on a MUCH larger rta 2.5 id coil, with a large amount of wick in an, it probably gets fairly good crud on that tiny thing by the time a flavored pod is empty. I mean, you're burning unp the same amount of total dissolved solids or whatever onto a surface that's much smaller. For one who vapes unflavored, though- I hear of people going thru dozens & dozens of ml of juice in an rta, so you might be able to refill one quite a few times with that. That could be worth it.

But I've always been weird, so don't judge by me- even before using net, I wouldn't go through more than 10ml without rebuilding. And dry firing a coil never worked for me- I could taste the difference. I'm really sensitive to a well used coil- the reason I never got along with drop ins in the first place. So others may find rebuilding them more worthwhile.

Yeah, I don't know. Those look pretty damn small. I wouldn't bother with rebuilding. Base of pod is probably glued on anyhow.
There were YouTube videos on how to refill Vuse and Blu pods - Apparently they open fairly easily if you know how to do it - But that may have been 2 years ago - I don't know if it is still that simple?

I still have a few Vuse Vibes, which has the shape and feel of a medium small cigar and a few packs of Melon flavor {now banned} which was one of the few BT flavors that was good and natural tasting - and the pods lasted a long time.

I was going to buy a whole bunch of them before the flavor ban on pods but when I called the RJ Reynolds they told me the the shelf live was only one year.

Yeah I don't know. Vuse has a few different non-refillable models. The others are even smaller than the Alto.

Except the Vibe is one of the bigger ones and holds a lot - I think the video showed someone using a needle with a syringe to fill it? - I liked it so much that I was dreaming about someone making a refillable pod to go on it.

Now the UK has a problem with their surprise Vapemail Ban.

    UK’s Vapemail Ban

"While the number of vapers who might wish to use a service like this remains small, the fact that a ban is in place is out of step with the United Kingdom’s forward thinking on tobacco harm reduction."

    God save the Queen. :)

Same thing that was behind his ban on "big cup" drinks.

Mikey knows best. His wallet tells him so.
Why we should keep talking about him - It's more than vaping, it's the Constitution of the United States that is being threatened by Michael Bloomberg.

He uses his money to fight for causes like gun control throughout the United States while surrounded by a very well armed group of gun carrying body guards.
Bloomberg is the definition of a hypocrite, stands for nothing but his power hungry 'control freak' agenda,
and is much, much more than a threat to vaping
    - He is a threat to all freedoms - be there any freedom left in this World.

I don't fault anyone for being rich whether earned or inherited and wouldn't mind being rich .
But Blooomberg should not be rich - He can not be trusted with money as he uses it for ill intents.
Bloomberg Philanthropies is in my opinion a fraud.
And what I really would like to know is how many of those politicians who voted for the PMTA or the Postal shipping ban, took campaign money from Bloomberg ??? - He has used his dam money to suppress vaping throughout the World, including India which has banned all vaping!

Could it be that the attempts to ban vaping and the disinformation campaigns driven by the American billionaire are aimed at creating a favorable environment only for his own product?"

No way, he cares for 'his' people, that is only motivation.

The ordeal hasn't gone away, no doubt about that, but the attention focus went on to something else. Headline Lives matter too you know.. :w00t:

Since when have the woes of vapers been headlines? There hasn't been a peep about the Deeming or the PACT act in the mainstream news.
