It may come to that. It seems unlikely because the number of vapers who stocked up is probably very small and of minimal concern. Could happen though. i finished stocking before the reporting requirements went into effect. Government doesn't want vape purchaser info to not use it.
They did not outlaw consumption and storage of alcohol during 'Prohibition' back in the early 1900s
- So it is unlikely they will do it wih vape either.
See:
3. It wasn’t illegal to drink alcohol during Prohibition.
The 18th Amendment only forbade the “manufacture, sale and transportation of intoxicating liquors”—not their consumption. By law, any wine, beer or spirits Americans had stashed away in January 1920 were theirs to keep and enjoy in the privacy of their homes. For most, this amounted to only a few bottles, but some affluent drinkers built cavernous wine cellars and even bought out whole liquor store inventories to ensure they had healthy stockpiles of legal hooch."

Sound familiar ???

But they also learned it didn't work. So it isn't a far stretch for them to make possession of vape paraphernalia a crime, just like it has been done in some other countries.

Possible BUT:
4. Some states refused to enforce Prohibition.
Along with creating an army of federal agents, the 18th Amendment and the Volstead Act stipulated that individual states should enforce Prohibition within their own borders. Governors resented the added strain on their public coffers, however, and many neglected to appropriate any money toward policing the alcohol ban. Maryland never even enacted an enforcement code.....

THINK USPS !!!

They are not inclined to enforce vape prohibition are they?

The war has begun - And as I've said before the only winner here is the 'Underworld' !

What a coincidence, I watched that movie yesterday.

I think I'll watch it too. Have to try to get to bed early tonight so it might help. Good movie (IMHO) but when I watch movies I've seen a bunch of times they tend to make me sleepy.

It was set in the year 2022 and although things aren't quite that extreme, it is in some ways kinda prophetic. Some people are wearing masks, homeless people in the streets, riots,...

Do we know with certainty who is sponsoring/funding the recent-most rash of anti-vaping ads on TV? Not speculation, but confirmed?
I do not know if it is possible to point the finger at exactly who is responsible - Bloomberg we all know about and:

"Who pays for anti-vaping commercials and billboards?"
    "
The Antismokers are not a “unified conspiracy” type of group. See my summary article in Signs of The Times at: Types Of Antismokers to see the varied motivations that blend together in sort of a “Perfect Storm” type of movement and get a better understanding of it. Note that certain “types” — The Greedy, The Neurotic, The Controllers, and, increasingly, The Innocents as they get brainwashed by the MSA spending on the subject — have moved over into becoming Antivapers. Basically the same old schtick, peddled by the same old people, using the same old tricks… but dressed up in new costumes and targeting vaping instead of smoking.

They’re likely also supported by a fair amount of money from the NicoGummyPatchyProductPeople at Big Pharma who are obviously quite unhappy that their big $ Nico products are being replaced by super-cheap vaping alternatives.

And from a few a years ago:

Bloomberg Takes on Vaping After Giving $1 Billion to Fight Tobacco

"Michael R. Bloomberg, who has committed nearly $1 billion to aid anti-tobacco efforts, is now stepping into the campaign to combat vaping, announcing a $160 million push to ban flavored e-cigarettes.

Mr. Bloomberg, the former mayor of New York City, said that his Bloomberg Philanthropies would aim to ban the flavored e-cigarettes in at least 20 cities and states......."

Bloomberg Takes on Vaping After Giving $1 Billion to Fight Tobacco (Published 2019)

    Now that is not speculation, it is fact. And the fact is some people, and even governments {ie. the Philippines}
are fed up with this self-righteous 'control freak' and his agendas - Remember that as Mayor of NYC Bloomberg banned large soft drinks claiming they were unhealthy - Next it would have been excess salt, calories, etc. in restaurant food - no telling where his so called healthy agendas would end.

But I am a man of faith - And have faith that one day Bloomberg will die. And on his tombstone should be printed:

"The road to Hell is paved with good intentions" !!!

    FDA
"The Real Cost" Youth E-Cigarette Prevention Campaign

    Truth Initiative
is America's largest nonprofit public health organization committed to making tobacco use and nicotine addiction a thing of the past.
Truth Initiative: inspiring lives free from smoking, vaping, and nicotine

Are 2 I am aware of
And who is funding them ???

Of course the FDA is the government funded by your tax dollars.

But the "Truth Initiative" is another story - Supposedly it is non-profit?

Here is what they say they are:

"Truth Initiative® is America’s largest non-profit public health organization dedicated to making tobacco use a thing of the past. We speak, seek and spread the truth about tobacco through education, tobacco-control research and policy studies, and community activism and engagement.

We’ve helped bring teen cigarette use down from 23 percent in

2000 to 6 percent in 2016. We’re proud of that success, but our work won’t stop until we achieve a culture where all youth and young adults reject tobacco.

'Known previously as American Legacy Foundation, we were established as part of the 1998 Master Settlement Agreement between major U.S. tobacco companies and 46 U.S. states, the District of Columbia and five territories.'"

Maybe they should call themselves by their true name:
'The American Hypocrites Society to Create Tobacco Prohibition' !!!

Here is the phone number I found listed for them:
    • Phone Number +1 (202) 454-5555
    Again:
'Known previously as American Legacy Foundation, we were established as part of the 1998 Master Settlement Agreement between major U.S. tobacco companies and 46 U.S. states, the District of Columbia and five territories.'

NOW YOU KNOW WHO AND WHAT IS FUNDING THEM !!!

The MSA is just the tip of their funding iceberg ...

They did? And vaping had no part of this?

And no to mention teen smoking, actually all smoking in the USA has been declining for years. With a very noticeable drop just after the introduction of...

Some more research yields more facts:

    National Tobacco Control Program Funding

"CDC is the only federal agency that provides funding to help support all 50 states, the District of Columbia, 8 U.S. territories, and 26 tribes/tribal organizations for tobacco control efforts."

    National Tobacco Control Program Funding

Apparently 'Prohibition' - good old fashioned help for organized crime is the agenda.
Todays international underworld was virtually created by alcohol prohibition and furthered by the War on Drugs
    - With Marijuana becoming legal in more and more places, tobacco will have to do to take it's place
    - There is a hungry underworld needing to be fed
    - Do any of you really think these 'control freaks' are doing it 'to save the children'?
    - Again I ask who is going to save the children and the rest of us from them ?!?!
