Flavor is fading badly after about 2 1/2 weeks....Wondering what was your guys input on this.... is it the sweetener that is causing it to fade the flavor? i have about 22% mixes total flavoring with about 2% surclose sweetener? should i get rid of the sweetener?

Does it fade, even when you use a new atomizer/build?

I'm not sure I get what you mean. Yes, citrus flavors are volatile. I have always used glass bottles to steep. How does this pertain to reverse steeping? Citrus flavor molecules infuse quicker due to their volatility. Once they're done the flavor starts getting flat. Thus reverse steeping, glass or not.

Try steeping in a glass bottle. Citrus oils are very volatile.

The answers to these questions are yes, and yes. Sweeteners kill juice. If you like sweet juice and want to use sweetener then only make enough for a couple days at a time.

Go back several pages and read. This has been covered recently in this thread.

When I first started diy'ing I subscribed to this thread thinking it was the holy grail for a mixing foundation...and then when I started eliminating crappy flavoring and found premium top-shelf flavorings/nicotine and got better mixing at the right percentages, practically everything in this thread became irrelevant. A good flavoring, mixed right doesn't need any hocus pocus in my lil ole humble opinion...same with the steeping obsession...

If you care to share, I'd be interested in your choices concerning the above items.

For my likes there's Inawera, FlavourArt & some Hangsen flavors with FA & INW being the most consistent across the board. I really like the VT nic, I could really tell a difference in my mixes...I found that I could cut way back on my percentages and I wasn't having to over-compensate in flavor percentages just trying to cover up the nasty metallic taste of the nic I was using.

Since I've cut back from 10-12% in flavoring to 3-6% I've seen a major improvement in the taste of my mixes and this is what I especially like about FA & INW concentrates. There is no need for me to have to use some so-called flavor enhancer with a premium flavor that is good on it's own...I certainly wouldn't want to ruin a perfectly good flavor by adding acv/vape wizard/smooth or any of those masking agents that mute a flavor that's awful from the start...

I totally agree with what Blueser is saying. Additives such as EM, sweetener, vineger, sours etc are for the most part masks that hide a mixes true potential. They are often over used and used for the wrong purpose. If you start with good NIC and good flavoring such as what blueser has already metioned there is no need for additives. If you must use additives know what they are and how they react and know what the proper amounts to use are.

OMG... I... Finally did it... 700+ posts later, I have finally finished this thread! I would really like to thank all of you, some of you more than others but to not single anyone out I will simply leave that at that. What an adventure this has been I must say, lol. I really do appreciate all the time many of you have genuinely taken to help others to have a better and more informed vaping experience. There are A LOT of really great tips in here, not to mention a lot of potentially money and time saving techniques. Again, thank you all so much for helping in my DIY adventures!

As is...

Continued... Flavor Add-on's Flavor Killers (EM, VW, BW, MTS, ACV, ect)

....just because you read it on the internet doesn't mean it's necessarily true...

Very correct.

Also just because I can make some great stuff with some of those doesn't mean another can.

I've heard that some folks can even make vapable juice with TPA's Kona, but I'll never be able to figure that out.
