GreenSmokes got me off tobacco smokes for about 8 months last year, until I let relationship troubles start me back on them. Well all that's straight now and I picked up my little GreenSmokes again this past weekend and haven't smoked since. I know the GS's don't have a great rep here but, hey, they did the trick. Hopefully my little Box mod from madvapes will be in the mail when I get home from the office and I can get the "full experience" and finally be off the smokes all together.

I wasn't an ultra-heavy smoker, though I did smoke full flavour (i.e. non light - Players Filter / Export A Green) smokes, about 12-13 (half a Canadian pack) a day. Got my first kit April of 2011, and used it somewhat for a month or so, but set it aside as the cartridge/atomizer combo of the eGo XL didn't blow me away... got some Boge cartomizers and a 510 tank and carts in November, and by mid December I found myself smoking maybe 1 or 2 analogs a day before very long. I didn't want to quit cold-turkey for fear that I might jump straight back to smoking.

The long and the short of it is, had my last analog Dec. 31, and one cigarillo on Jan. 1, and have been totally tobacco free since. I occasionally get the rare craving for a cigarette, but a vape or two cures that, and I wonder why I didn't quit sooner. I've since got a Lavatube VV mod, a ton of juice, doing my own DIY juice (just got a 4L jug of PG this morning in the mail for cutting), and all the other cool doo-dads (dual coil cartomizers for tanks, low resistance cartos, high res cartos for my VV), and still spend less than what I would have spent on cigarettes.

For those of you who can't quite get away from the nasty weed yet, don't fret, it took a bit for me, but I haven't looked back since! Good luck to you all and vape on!

that's not a weird question at all dude. I prefer smoking real cigs much more, but don't like the increased health risks and prices. I usually vape but I will treat myself to cigs on weekends every now and then. If you really think about it, cigarettes are bad for you when you overdo it....which is very hard NOT to do. I know that might not be a popular theory but I believe it to be true.

I basically vape as much as possible, but I do still smoke analogs while driving (still working on finding a solution that lasts through my 1hr+ commute).

The funny thing about it is I find myself smoking analogs, and wishing they were my e-cig. I should probably take that as I sign that I need to vape more :)

What are you using now that it won't last through a 1 hr commute???? Maybe you need to switch mods to something better?

I enjoy a cigar and / or a pipe about once a week.

The Cigar is a more of a social usage exclusive for me,
But I really enjoy the taste of a nice Maduro like an Arturo Fuente - Work of Art
( I'm actually going to Cigarfest , next Friday.. excited too. )
The Pipe, usually on my balcony with a book and my nerdy glasses... There are so many variations of pipe tobacco and the tastes / sensations you get from them.. Virginia / Perique / Latakia.. etc.

But my daily required Vitamin N requirement is met exclusively by vaping...
Never wanted another cigarette after I took my first serious toot on my KgO .

Peace

I cheeted vape with cigs for the first 3 days I think the cheep smokeshop ejuice was the cause so I ordered from an online store at 36Mg strength lmao I didnt even need to vape for 3days after puffing on that a few times lol. Dropped strength down to 24 now we ar vapeing at 18 woo have not had a cig in about 45 days. Just stick with it find a good ejuice vendor. I like Highbrow vapor ry4. But taste is subjective. Just remember cigs kill you and taste bad and people smell you and they make your teeth and lungs yellow. Best thing about vapeing for us is................and thoes long cold winter days we never smoked inside our house for or childreans sake. We can be nice and cozy warm inside feet up with a cup of coffee vapeing! Priceless

i should have kept my backup instead of letting a friend borrow it just so she could take off with it and move without telling me

Very interesting little thread. I was a 30 a day guy for about 45 years after 3 chest infections this year I thought I would try and cut down, never had the intention of giving up, as like many of the other people commenting, I love smoking, don't know any different really, and can't remember not smoking.

So, started vaping on 5th April to just try and cut down those (habit) cigs that we don't really need, I was amazed to find that I went down to about 3 or 4 a day and after 7 days didn't smoke any, this was completely unintentional, I haven't had a cig since 11th April, can't believe it really.

Was vaping at 3.7v and was managing, then the mod broke (Indulgence) made a crude running repair to keep me going and got my Lavatube VV today. Can't believe how much better higher voltages are, just about to order a cheapo box mod so I am not without again. So if you are thinking of taking up vaping buy two.

Very much taken the view that if I wan't a cig I'll have one and keep a packet in the car and house, so far I'm glad to say I haven't felt the need.

Big prob is I'm vaping pretty much all day long on 24mg, only about 3ml though, and spending a mint on bits and bobs (still haven't used the pipette tho) mind you, it's still less than the cigs.

Good luck to you all, stick with it, I hope to.
