I vape at work, though not completely openly... I'm a high school teacher. I certainly don't vape around students but during free periods I lock my classroom door and vape away! Several of the other teachers know and have no problem with it, we can sit in my room to discuss issues etc and they have no problem if I vape while they are there.

I didn't notice if anyone had gone into the term "vooping". Can't imagine they'd put that in the journal. I work for a large international manufacturing company and I voop like a madman.

Maybe because it's not at all relevant to the question that was asked. Just a thought. . .

(Although, and I might regret even saying this, I'm a little curious how vooping relates in any way to you working for a "large international manufacturing company.")

Typically in articles that discuss vaping in the workplace, discrete vaping is central to the discussion. Many large companies, my own included, have very strict anti-smoking policies that include e cigarettes. As such, vaping in the restroom is perhaps the only viable option for individuals given the climate (both terrestrial and regulatory) in which they work.

I work for a really large refuse company(world wide large).. They have banned smoking in the cabs of our trucks, we are not allowed to vape while driving because its a distraction. The nice part about vaping is while I am servicing a customer i can take a quick pull and be back in the cab and off to the next stop..No more cig breaks-made me a more productive employee. So yes I vape all day at work, just not while the wheels are in motion.

Absolutely. The company I work for imposed a no smoking ban ANYWHERE on the premises. You can't even go OUTSIDE to smoke/vape anymore.

The thing is, unless you're vaping a juice that produces a strong scent, or you're blowing huge plumes of vapor, vaping is virtually undetectable.

So, yes, I vape at my desk EVERY day. I wear my device on a lanyard that's clearly visible and I "hit it" whenever I'm so inclined. They know what I'm doing, but since I vape discreetly I don't attract attention. As far as they're concerned I'm not doing anything at all.

(What they don't see, they can't complain about.)

I do a stealth vape from time to time at my desk. High wall cubicles make it pretty easy. I'm still a newbie to vaping, analogs are down to less than a pack a week if that, so I do still step outside with the smokers from time to time to keep some of the old "habit" alive. Can't drop everything when switching away from analogs.

The social aspect of analogs is still appealing, I can just forgo the tobacco and just vape alongside my friends.

I'm based in Saudi, and have been for six years. THe attitude to smoking has generally been very laid back in that everyone did it. However, the last few years, more shops and offices have clamped down. My office and the whole building is meant to be non smoking, but my boss smokes at least one cigar a day in his office ( next door to mine). Virtually every office has its own ashtray. THe more senior you are , the more you can get away with ( aint that the truth! ).

In response to the original question though, I vape all day long without interruption and without any problem at all. Take my PV into meetings and what not and don't have any problems or objections. In fact, I have loads of people asking me to get them an ecig, and I've tried getting a load into the county....but thats a story for another day.

Your boss smokes 5 packs a day? Holy crap, dude. Have you tried getting him into vaping?

The old man is 75 but it seams that his 37 years old wife and his smoking habit keep him alive until now. The very first thing that we did when we bought the airplane, was to rip-off an non smoking sign from the entrance door and buy lots of ashtrays :vapor:

At my place of employment smoking is banned in the common areas, but the room in which I work is on a separate ventilation system, and when I AM at work, I'm basically trapped in my workspace for my shift, so the smoking policy is set by the senior person on shift - however, a non-smoking rule can be put in place by anyone that objects.

That being said, when I'm on shift, it's vape time. :vapor:
