I don't know if anyone else has tried this (or even if it's healthy) but I use some straight/unflavoured PG mixed with a few drops of Vodka straight on the coil when burning gunk off. It works OK with the juice I use, and smells kinda good when doing it.

On a side note, I also add a few drops of Vodka to my juice if I'm not getting quite enough throat hit out of it. (PS I use mainly menthol juices). Works for me :)

vodka added to juice gives a better TH? Interesting...

I'm having good results cleaning the atomizers / wick area with straight Vodka or Rum using a Dentek dental brush at each refill. It doesn't remove all the "gunk" but seems to extend the life of the carto one more refill before it needs to be dry burned.

I also learned something yesterday...

After boiling, it would take a long time for the wick to dry out inside the carto. I like the wick to be dry before I dry burn. So I learned that if you pull the wick loops out of the carto after boiling it, that the wick drys in much faster. Much Faster.

Bad - Your carto design is basical the eGo carto. The eGo carto was Fantastic and had no wicking problems. The problem with the eGo design was that it couldn't be Dry Burn. Or even washed out efficiently.

Your design would take the best of the eGo carto concept with the dry burn abilities of the E2.

I was starting to feel a little left out with everyone making their own carto designs, so I decided to do one of my own. I borrowed a few ideas from br, bad, V1John and zoiDman and came up with this:

cartomatic.jpg

Now, keep in mind this is just a rough draft. :)

The battery powers a small propeller which not only turns the entire airtube/cup assembly, but helps blow the massive amounts of vapor away from your face, making these safe to use while driving. As the airtube turns, tiny hairs on the tube pick up juice and push it towards the cup, eliminating the need for more than an inch or so of wick. The juice is literally "pushed" towards the coil. The friction ring serves to keep the removable mouthpiece/filler ring from turning along with the cup. The cap on the battery end is outfitted with bright multi-colored LED's that flash when the unit is activated, serving to let everyone around you know that what you are smoking is NOT a cigarette, and that you just might be crazy enough to hurt them if they try to challenge you about it.

actually that design is ingenious , ill tell you why.

remove the wings but inside make the inner tube spin, if the inner tube has tine fins on it then when it spins it will force fluid upwards toward the coil. lol true it is.

But without the propellers and flashing lights it's a little plain-looking, don't ya think?

I'm not sure the patent will hold up with the prior art.

Didn't Wiley Coyote have one of these strapped to his ...?
