Maybe before they make drastic changes I would like to see an inner cap with the inner rim rounded instead of squared.

It has been too difficult to replace properly, so what I'm trying right now is I took the inner cap and with very small scissors I cut very small amounts off of the outer edgdge of the lip or rim that goes around the cup. Then I put it in without messing too much with it, and replaced the o-ring and mouthpiece, and by that time it must have worked itself in properly.

That's what I'm vaping right now, let's see how it does

If someone posts a pic of the inner cap I can photoshop it and show you what I've done.
So far so perfect.

v1 is right bad...the sleeve is 1" across when laid flat...I can easily shove my thumb through it..where they get the "3/8" from I have no idea. The rope type in my pic is the same as the #6 type on McMasters pic..three strands twisted. The only way you would get the sleeve I have in a carto is cut it up. I have unwoven what I have. This is the direct link for the sleeve... MSC Item Detail

Another thing to remember is that if you put too much wick or filler in the carto...you will end up with the same problem as a cart with too much filler..the juice will always go to the largest amount of wick surface. So while super-saturated it may work ok...but after the carto filler and the coil wick reach the same saturation..the juice will want to stay in the larger amount. You definely dont want a tight braid for a wick either...the fibers hold and transfer more when they can swell.

With the huge bowtie wick those things have I would just use some of that for the gaps as v1 I think suggested..dunno I am in and out tonight!

good

everything went back into place properly, and I'm vaping peg winston like it's a new super vg cloud engine.

I'm hoping someone can post an inner cap, and I can put arrows and things so others can see it clearly.

What the factory needed was the same inner cap they have now, but just rounded instead of squared.

So far so perfect.

I had the same problem when I tried to put the inner plug back into the samples Bad sent me. What I did was very similar where I used a cuticle tool too bevel the inside edge of the inner cap. So far I have vaped it dry(1.5ml to refill) with no harsh or dry taste and so far no leaking as well. I think the inner bevel relieves the pressure on the wick and still provides a good seal on the slots. So far so good. Tried it without any caps in it when I refilled and the vape was the same so I put them back in place.

All the best,
Wing.

I order mine on saturday but it still in processing !

Thanks

I ordered on 8/23, shipped the 5th, and I have had no more updates, last one is from the 5th, so I have NO idea where my stuff is. :(

oh i thought it was no wider and thicker then a shoelace.

vjohn, i did the same thing to the inner cap using a surgical scalpel..

Thats what the penny is there for!! LOL Wish I could help...I didnt get a ship notice yet even from RS.

I would like to find the tiny sleeves you see on heater wires...like a true 1/8" ID max or smaller.

I did that already. Also tried it with a plastic one from an earlier E2. The brass prototype has a taper that does about the same thing.

I actually cut the outer edge, not the inner one. If you cut the outer one it goes back in place so perfectly, but I let the middle ring and mouthpiece do the final seating of it.

I also cut two very small parts where it lines up with the slots, these I did do on the inner edge, and they're extremely small, they're not even notches, they're just tiny shavings off of the rim's squared edge.

...good to see y'all did that all ready, I'm just hoping all the others just now getting them know what we're talking about

Yep. Did it already and not doing it any more. The white mouthpiece from an early E2 worked better for me and my wife, but evidently it does not work for other people.

If you use Paypal I think you need to be a paypal customer for at least one year, or maybe check the paypal status of your payment. Log in to Paypal and check the status, did the money leave your account?

Yankee802, usps dot com also tells you the last known scanning location. Once it leaves China, try usps dot com... but you ordered quite a big order, right? I wonder if it went with FedEx or UPS

Paypal is not the only way to pay them, you can also use the famous Western Union

v1john, thats what i said, cut the wicks off at the slits then add the new flat wick into the lots and a little down into the tank, this way its similar to the ptb i made, cut off wick but still some at the slits touching the other wick just like it touches the ptb now. no i have not packed the slit with wick but i i will try that too.

i still use ptb just to place some on either side, this centers the cup and stops any leaking until the new ones arrive.
but with this flat briaded wick form posts above, that is hollow and might be the perfect wick to replace the ptb, so while its flat we can stuff it in the slit and since its wide it can act like the ptb.

You know what else works like PTB?

PTB!

It works! It's cheap! Embrace the PTB! :p

^ptb does work, when I use it again I will use 12 plies tho. It can really flatten quite a bit.

I took a break from vaping, it's working so well.
The vgo was laying flat all this time too, and no leaks at all
