I opened up a new KR8. I have not *quite* worked out the foul taste yet, and therein lies the rub. I'll have more to say about this one in a later post.
Try washing the cart with everclear.Put some in a syringe and pushed it thru my XL when I used some bad juice in it. Blew it out good and let it dry fir a few. Did a dry burn to clean it and voila clean no bad taste.
Just a thot:D

Thanks for the tip. I used a syringe and washed mine out with water. The taste was good after burning it out.

Ok, I have some New Fresh news. lol

I have been informed that they have fixed the primer issue and Revision 4 will be primer FREE.(no primer).
I was also informed that the main leaking from the stem where the cup sits on the airflow stem HAS BEEN FIXED and tested repeatedly.

Now this fix solved that issue but they are aware of the second leak at the slits and wick of the cup. They are now making new molds with just a wick slot enough for the wick and it wont be open fully like it is now. There is no way to be certaain if that will completly solve that specific issue but they are hoping it will alleviate most of it.

Once they do additional tests on the new mold they will send out samples. They will continue to perfect them they said but to be aware prices might need to be raised.

Turbo:: it wasnt the sealant that smelled it was the bad glue, they might be using silicone to seal it im not sure. I was just told that, that issue has been tested and fixed.

Very fresh news indeed!

If they also fix the wicking problem with the XL's (they seem to burn intermittently), then they may be ready for prime time.

yes, on the 510xl depeneding on which one i use i can get the dry taste intermittenly like you said when i use it on a 3.7 device. These 510 xl are 2.5 to 2.6

that does not happen on the higher ohm 510 xl's and i did find some 3.0 ohm 510 xl's today in my bigger shipment.

my 808 xl 3.0 ohm have no wicking issue as well and i dont know how to explain this but many almost every regular 510 e2 i tried are wicking perfectly and are 2.5-2.6 ohm so i cant explain that.(other then the madvapes juice Im using just wicks better maybe) by the way 13 bucks for 60ml of usa juice that taste great is a great deal.

 What in the world is overwicking?

Over wicking is when you stand a cartridge upright and watch the coil get dripping wet. A few minutes later you see liquid in the bottom of the cup. Only a few cartridges will do this, and I have not seen it happen with the filler ring installed.

Just FYI... I'm prolly nuts but it seems my batteries are lasting longer. (Could be that I'm using every type of mod I've got PLUS my Wet Box) Also... I've dug out that old box of "Damn I shouldn't have ordered THAT!" juice and GUESS WHAT!!! Some of these stinkers taste GREAT at 3.7 with the new cartos!!!
WHAT A DEAL!!!!!

wondering

could it be that some just happen to have the wick misrouted?

when you experience the dry wick phenomenon, are you sure the carto is not almost empty?

could it be caused by the battery? I mean have you put an adaptor on the batteries and tried switching the cartos to see if they have a dry wick spell on a battery?

you're right, the e2 cartos make more vapor and with less effort and less time on the power switch

With the ce2's, I can still good vapor production until just about when the battery shuts down for recharge

___________

Br, I also keep mine upright now when not in use, and no problems. (I did have a few that leaked (probably through the slots)when they were left laying flat for hours.)

on many juices I experience things in the juice i havent even with dripping on atomizer.
Dripping has always opened up the juice especially on LR and using a regular atomizer on 5 or 6v.
but with the e2 i get other flavors out of the juice that im not getting while dripping with a atomizer. very wierd and i cant explain it either but i like it.

i just tried the fried apple on a atomier and dripped, i get more of the cinnamon and non of the apple.
on the E2 though i get the cinnamon followed up by the friend apple taste. TASTY indeed

Hey folks, looking for help. I'm sorry if this is repetitive, but the search function isn't working since the re-design, and there's 140 pages of posts here...

I've just loaded up my syringe to fill the CE2 I got, and stuck the little plastic syringe that comes with the cartos on it... and the juice WON'T go through it. The tube is so tiny. How do I make it go through?

I have two "used" filler rings here: one from a 510XL, one from a 808DXL. Both have what I'd describe as "scorched depressions" in the exact spot where they sat over the slit area of the cup. I just pulled a new 510 apart to confirm new ones don't have these.. they don't. These are basically heat-discolored grooves that you can feel when you run something over it. This might lend some proof to the "break-in" theory. With enough use the heat from the coil might burn some of the silicone away, giving it a groove to sit in (and improve the wicking).

The two filler rings I have here were subjected to several dry burns, so the grooves might be the result of more than normal heat. I'm going to need to test this on a new carto and avoid dry burning with the filler ring on to see if occurs normally. Badkolo if you have one you've got some use on it might be worth it to take a look. If it's occuring with normal use it might help the wicking problem, but I can't help but wonder if melting silicone is a good thing...

Hopefully the next ones will be better, I'm just trying to determine when I whould go ahead and order. LOL, I think I'm just going to wait until they raise their price again :)
I think that way I'll know

if they perfect them and the price goes up so be it.

eventually in the future once they recoup more money spent the price will drop as it always does

MistressNomad, but just know that once you disturb the inner cap, you need to be more careful, and keep the carto vertical when not in use.

Are you using an old style pure vg?
I think the best syringe is the 3ml, 20gauge what size is yours?
Some people fill the syringe first, and then injecting it is easier than drawing it in.

___________

Bad, exactly. No, I'm not complaining lol, I just can't wait for them to raise the price a little so I can order bigtime.

____________

BanjoMan, you don't thing the depression was a result of dry burning the wire orange?

I know how you feel, I am waiting on my newest order and the samples from Bad to arrive, looks like Bad's shipment is going to win that race since my order is stuck in customs "sigh". I have 3 people waiting for me to forward them samples to try/review once I get them in so I hope its not long.

Then my other problem is the same as yours, will probably wait awhile before ordering any more so the improvements can get that real world testing. The only problem is every time they release an improved version I want to order again, thankfully I am on a budget (or regrettably depending on how you look at it) and can only order something once a month(new wife approved budget was better than expected).

Its overcoming the I want it now syndrome that is the hard part. LOL.

All the best, Happy Vaping,
Wing.
