Huh, this is easier than using those tiny holes any way. Is there any reason I need to put the innper plug back in for use, or can I simply discard it?

It stabilizes the cup in the carto,

and also helps prevent overheating the carto shell so that it doesn't burn you

and it tries to seal the wide cup slots so that you don't get liquid in the cup and then through the air stem and all over the place

The problem is that it acts like it's oversized and it can cause a lot of movement trying to get it back on properly.

BanjoMan, you don't thing the depression was a result of dry burning the wire orange?

It could well be, that's why I'm going to start with a fresh carto and vape it normally a while with the filler ring in, then pull the ring and inspect it before doing a dry burn.

This is what I'm talking about (sorry about the crappy photo):

Ok. Inner cap back in (wasn't so hard, using the flat head of a nail)...

...And now it doesn't thread correctly on either my 510 batts, or my 510 PT. Won't fire.

*sigh*

The first one I tried was an earlier iteration that got stuck on my adapter for 2 weeks (wouldn't fire). Finally got it off, and it doesn't work on my batts, but it does on my PT, but tastes like plastic.

And now this one doesn't thread correctly on anything.

This is frustrating.

Some reported a 510 dent on the threads or something like a shorted centerpost, those (if you ever get one), should
not be used. I don't know much more about this one.

Do you know if you were able to thread it properly to the battery before removing the innercap?
See, I think the inner cap and cup may affect the movement of the airstem and the electrical centerpost, not sure how much or if it does, but I wonder.

Do you have one that does light up before you wrestle with the filler holes and fragile inner cap trying to fill it up?

Jesus banjo, even after like 3 dry burns with the inner plug in i didnt get that. lolol.
how much abuse did you do to those things?

but then again these are suppose to be disposable right?lol

To be fair I abused them pretty hard. I was trying to burn the excess rinse water out of them and it wasn't working very well. I think it shows you CAN get these things hot enough at 3.7v to melt silicone, though...

If on occasion you find a U.S. re-seller that does not need the bad ones back, chances are it's because the supplier was already paid a hidden fee for what they make you think is customer service. Sorry about your cartos though, mister kil. At least 15 cartos is not that much, I have given away a lot more than that.

hidden fee? You mean like their supplier/mfg reimburses them for the bad ones that get returned? :)

When you do your calculations of cost per unit you should factor in the percentage of bad ones you expect.

I wonder if your coil is overall shorter than BanjoMan's. On some, the coil loops are spread very far apart, and on different ohm ones, they may not even have the same number of coil loops. BanjoMan was the coil on the depressed silicone spread out and near the slots?

Yes, ok, that can be considered customer service.
I also think that if I pay a re-seller for customer service, that they should also check the batteries, switches, etc. 'before' they ship them to me, not after. :)

The coils on both had a pretty good spread, but they were still inside the cup area.

I wonder if they're Joye batteries.
Now, with the adaptors it's even worse. For example, I have an adaptor with the 510 centerpost way too small (in diameter).

_____________

holy macarell BanjoMan, how many weeks have you been using the orange inner plugs?

They could just be juice-stained. I'll go easier on the next one and see what happens.

(but if it was heat that discolored it, imagine what someone using these at 5v+ could do)
