it's not the shipping that takes long tho, i have had stuff leave china on a sat. and get to me a few days later on a wed.
what takes the longest is changing the technolological new versions and the whole production floor
the rest of the waiting is just standard procedure, each item has it's shipping time 3-7 days, etc. one time for me they were out of stock on a certain flavor and by email i had a choice of waiting for the stock or changing
but i feel ok ordering also. it's like 90% of things are ordered from china either way, i guess it's just a matter if someone wants to hire someone to order for them or something.
a lot of people do that, it's a rapidly growing business, people are hiring people to order for them
Seems to me they know what's in stock when you order doesn't it? It's not like they take orders over the phone and do inventory by hand at the end of the week. It's all automated. Even the smallest vendors here manage to keep their websites accurate right down to the unit.
The idea with "hiring" someone here is to reduce your variance. suppliers moving large volumes are able to amortize the screw-ups over the long term. They can factor in something like 10% or 15% loss dealing with the Chinese and it works out over a year's time. If you get screwed for a hundred or two you're not going to recover that. Suppliers here also buffer the variance in shipping, hold ups in customs and the like. I get stuff from Altsmoke or Cignot or the likes and I can guarantee it will be here in 3 or 4 business days. Every time.
I don't know, macromny, to the bomk we all order from e-liquid, as suggested on royal smokers (they call it the web shop). The USps normally calls the customer when there is a delivery difficulty to try to expedite delivery, make sure your address and phone is upt o date
No. USPS does not call the customer when there is a "delivery difficulty". They leave a pre-printed form note on your door. haha, are you considering an address in the wrong state a "delivery difficulty" about the same as "package was signed for and left with the neighbor"? USPS tried to deliver to the address they were given. The shipper "owns" the goods until delivered since they paid for the service. No one else can authorize to have it redirected. That would be another reason to "hire" domestic suppliers. Shipping is a significant factor relative to the cost of an order from China and apparently RS is not willing to absorb screw-ups. They're saying, "it left our warehouse so too bad"?
It is probably cost effective for them to just have the charges reversed instead of putting any effort into trying to look up the order and have someone call USPS to have it re-directed. That customer service you take for granted from the domestic suppliers that you "hire" to order for you. Kind of the same with the having to send the defective ones back to them for replacement? or "we'll send you the right stuff when you make your next order"?
I also don't buy anything of significance with PayPal (credit cards only) since PayPal absolutely sucks at dispute resolution for anything other than eBay transactions. You should get your dispute filed as soon as possible because I think PayPal has a shorter time limit for filing than credit cards.
All that is why I "hire" people to do my ordering for me
