i think i can only get a day and a half out of cartos at the most, but that's just me
it could have something to do with the lower price that they are and i have lots of them and i really like the flavor of a new carto

they're definitely wonderful and nothing else is as good, they're really worth it

_______________
If the coil was a tad looser and the carto top unscrewable, it would be nice to pull the wick with tweezers every day, and cut the gunked part off, close the carto, and vape like new within a minute... just a thought

I'm only finding 1.7 volts on my carto off the vgo, and 2.0 volts off of a kr808d1 battery, ground to coil center, ouch but the probe gets hot itself...anyway, my r-three and a half is burning at approx 1.9 volts out of the batteries...lots and lots of giant vapor.

Don't measure from the coil center, John. Measure from the end of the coil. If you measure the wrong end it will be zero volts. The other end is positive and will measure the voltage.

It takes a day and a half just to get one of mine broke in well enough to taste right, heheh.

Not me :) . I'm using the 2.9ohm one right now, and sometimes using the usb now, until I'm back to the LR E2 again.

...I have just been wondering about my idea of the top of the carto screwing off, so that people could replace the wick.
A while back I said that it's what many people want, and if microcig doesn't make them, ecf will...
little did I know at the time, but now I see that Joye is making it more possible to have an easily rebuildable carto,
I was just watching LGD's video about the idea of a coil that simply plugs in when the old one burns out:

zoiDman:Most of the 510 XL cartos I have tried have run hot also. Too hot for most of my juices.

Hmm. Did you get to try the R2's non-XL's? Perhaps there's variations but I was just surprised when I metered them. They acted more like 3.0> as far as heat but the vapor still good.

That is why I asked about the ohms on the ones Bad sent me.

If the R4 hit and are usable I was thinking that maybe the 3.0-3.2 ohm would be a better choice than the the lower ohm for my eGo.

There's at least two camps and much of it is likely type of flavors. My strong flavors respond to LR and wimp out above 3. My lighter flavor - black currant which while not real light isn't in the coffee/cuban cigar strength - does better at around 2.8 and above and loses flavor below that.

I'll give up some vapor as long as it doesn't tatse burnt. They should not gunk up as fast also.

I do a dry burn about every other day on the Wetbox, but again, I keep things just under flooding.

it's not the shipping that takes long tho, i have had stuff leave china on a sat. and get to me a few days later on a wed.
what takes the longest is changing the technolological new versions and the whole production floor
the rest of the waiting is just standard procedure, each item has it's shipping time 3-7 days, etc. one time for me they were out of stock on a certain flavor and by email i had a choice of waiting for the stock or changing

but i feel ok ordering also. it's like 90% of things are ordered from china either way, i guess it's just a matter if someone wants to hire someone to order for them or something.
a lot of people do that, it's a rapidly growing business, people are hiring people to order for them

Seems to me they know what's in stock when you order doesn't it? It's not like they take orders over the phone and do inventory by hand at the end of the week. It's all automated. Even the smallest vendors here manage to keep their websites accurate right down to the unit.

The idea with "hiring" someone here is to reduce your variance. suppliers moving large volumes are able to amortize the screw-ups over the long term. They can factor in something like 10% or 15% loss dealing with the Chinese and it works out over a year's time. If you get screwed for a hundred or two you're not going to recover that. Suppliers here also buffer the variance in shipping, hold ups in customs and the like. I get stuff from Altsmoke or Cignot or the likes and I can guarantee it will be here in 3 or 4 business days. Every time.

I don't know, macromny, to the bomk we all order from e-liquid, as suggested on royal smokers (they call it the web shop). The USps normally calls the customer when there is a delivery difficulty to try to expedite delivery, make sure your address and phone is upt o date

No. USPS does not call the customer when there is a "delivery difficulty". They leave a pre-printed form note on your door. haha, are you considering an address in the wrong state a "delivery difficulty" about the same as "package was signed for and left with the neighbor"? USPS tried to deliver to the address they were given. The shipper "owns" the goods until delivered since they paid for the service. No one else can authorize to have it redirected. That would be another reason to "hire" domestic suppliers. Shipping is a significant factor relative to the cost of an order from China and apparently RS is not willing to absorb screw-ups. They're saying, "it left our warehouse so too bad"?

It is probably cost effective for them to just have the charges reversed instead of putting any effort into trying to look up the order and have someone call USPS to have it re-directed. That customer service you take for granted from the domestic suppliers that you "hire" to order for you. Kind of the same with the having to send the defective ones back to them for replacement? or "we'll send you the right stuff when you make your next order"?

I also don't buy anything of significance with PayPal (credit cards only) since PayPal absolutely sucks at dispute resolution for anything other than eBay transactions. You should get your dispute filed as soon as possible because I think PayPal has a shorter time limit for filing than credit cards.

All that is why I "hire" people to do my ordering for me :)

are all you guys using the 2.5 ohms on 3.7 devices and complaining knowing that they are better at a lower voltage???????

I'm using a 3.7v battery with 3.0-3.2ohm carto's and they very easily burn the juice.

3.7v V4L Batteries = burnt
3.7v GG Slim = ok
5v Passthrough = ok

The V4L Batteries must have high current..

Ok this idea probably wouldn't work but it would be cool if it did:

Say the wick in the E2 was one piece - a big circle. If the wick wasn't too tight inside the coil how would it be if you could just pull a new section of wick into position at the coil every time it started turning black? Remember those old hand towel machines they used to have in bathrooms? Where you pull on the towel and a new fresh piece comes out while the dirty part rolls away? Something like that.

You'd need an inner cap that came out easier and a pair of tweezers, but if it worked you could just keep moving fresh wick into position until it was all used up, then throw the carto away (or maybe clean it).

That's something like what I mean. Just make the coil slightly looser and keep thinking up ideas.
The carto top needs to be unscrewable also, unless the cup is higher up and then the carto is covered externally (almsot like a 3 piece ecig).

[QUOTE=v1John;1904599]well the r4 is almost here, check it out:

The USPS called this morning and the package is on its way back to China:(

I have unintentionally pi$$ed Martinez off by disputing through paypal. I freaked out when I found out about the bad address and filed the dispute (too many bad ebay experiences). Now my account at ecigfair has been cancelled and I think I'm out of luck.

I know Martinez reads this board as he alluded to it in an email.

Martinez, if you see this, all I want is for this to be made right. I will even add to the order if you will ship it with the other.

You make it right and I will make sure everyone knows you do the right thing.
