hey v1john, i checked the leeching and found none.
i checked the juice in the used one which was dry cleaned and the juice is clean.

the only one i could get to look slightly like what you had but nothing that bad was the one i scraped all the gunk to loosen it up then vaped it all day and night and the juice was still clear but i had a few tiny little black dots in the mouth peace which was most likely the gunk i broke up..

so the results are good on my end.

That was on the 808d that leaked many times, I wonder if had gunk in the stem too.
The vgo battery thread was also gunked so bad that the 2 air holes had to be opened up... it still has a small amount around the post.

Your vgos are so much newer than mine, and I don't think your r4 leaked like mine did

my e4 carto makes the liquid awful dark quick, I hope it's not plasticizer leaching the shrink tubing like Scottbee may have posted
but I don't remember checking during the first initial fillup, my carto is now way past the first filling

V1...I use a a little chocolate flavor in my 555 mix..and even though it is clear flavoring it turns the juice very dark in the atty/carto. It may just be the type juice doing it.

Has anyone tried tucking a couple more strands of wick around the coil? Like I said, I run a strand on each side that goes across the cup and down in about a half inch and they work great after that..no more dry wick taste.

Sorry if this has been done already..I am in and out of here a lot.

wait, I'm not
I just cut a piece of wick and it desintegrates so easily

I need to wait for them to build the cartos where the top can come off

Huh...what are they using now..fiberglass? The wick in mine cut nice and clean...only thing I ever saw do that is fiberglass.
Some juice on it helps when cutting too...or just bring the loops up around.

the wick that comes in a 510 atomizer under the bridge does the same thing and they say its silica.
ive expereinced this dozens of times whenever i would remove the bridge or just pull out the wick thats under the bridge and when that is wet it breaks up into little strands., your untangling it.

the e2 wick behaves the same way. but i never play with it that much for that to happen.

my new thing is, cut off the wicks, add ptb, vape it for days, my juice doesnt gunk up badly, if days later i need a cleaning then ill do so and add ptb back, then after a week im chicking it in the garbage or putting it away for future use if need be. at 4 a month plus juice it isnt to pricey, but this means they have to all be identical, you need to recieve all good and working e2's for that to happen.

well it didn't pulverize, but I tucked away one end (of a small segment) and when I was tucking in the other end, it completely separated into countless threads... it was soaked also, I was trying to put it one the one I'm using right now

ok, i'll try to bring an existing strand up

but this one is a short carto, and it's probably not the high ohm, so I'm just doing it for the sake of the experiment

No...in the pic I posted I had used some of the wick I bought...but I have some that I got out of another E2 that I use also...either way. They had to cut it too you know.

whats wierd is even though my r4's that i used wicked and worked better all around on day one with no modding but these are on day 5 now and perform better then day 1. it seems each day i broke them in they got better.

that must be a placebo effect or maybe im insane. this applies to the ptb ones and to the 2 unmodded, but the ptb wicks and tastes 100 times better hands down.

but then again i had many regular atomizers (801,510,901)that always seemed to perform better after breaking them in.

ok I was lucky and found the loose single wick, but when I brought it over the coil, it was a pain to tuck it back in on the other end of the cup so I cut it to make it shorter...at least now it was another wick on top of the coil.

What happened now is that it actually flooded, lol, I have never seen that on an e2, so I put it on the high power PT also, but the actual surgery was complicated, I may need brain surgery tools to do this, and then deal with the flooding.

I think that e-liquid will just need to make different versions available... I really want the one with the carto top that unscrews, and I'm sure many people at ecf would like that too

the ptb does work really good until then (it's flooding, even on the PT)
although I'm not using the cup lid.. which is another item that needs improvement... I'm just using the o-ring and white mouth piece

Well thats the only thing I do to mine plus open up the slots in the fill ring and they are still gittin it..except one today popped the coil when I was mowing. So that was about 3 weeks on a 2.4 ohm on a double 14500 3.7v setup. And yea...when they go there is no warning...bang its dead.

I just cant see how shrink tubing on the R4 cup is going to make much of a difference vape wise. I dont have a problem with leaking with the extra wick in the R3.5..or whatever R they are.. that I have.

there is a difference bewteen getting enough liquid to the coil versus to much juice which your doing. thats why the ptb works so well, it delivers the perfect amount of juice to that coil area without flooding it.

and since they will never perfect the coil area since some will have more loops then others, some will be looser then others etc.. so the ptb seems to solve all those little differences between e2's

and since there will be no more revisions we will have to do what we have to do, so im just hoping now all the r4's are equal as much as they can be and then take it from there.

on the e-liquid.cn site they are now the FINAL REVISION.

Hmmm..I dnt know about the regular E2's...probably a shorter loop huh?

Yea they need to thread these things..maybe like a tapered thread so they wouldnt need to use a sealer...and a silicone tip like this....
E2tip.jpg
Of course if they make them like this they would last too long for them.lol

I don't believe anything I read on that site.

Exactly...FINAL for the E2 maybe...but what about the F1's?

Any company saying they are done trying to improve and keep up with a product might as well close the doors.

"e-liquid.cn: Pissing off the entire world, 100 cartos at a time."

but you took it apart to work on it, right nicotime? that's what I should do
(and you even replaced the cup lid... I didn't :( )

x57fwp.jpg

the coil also needs to be shaped the way you made yours

29wa9zs.jpg

but that looks like very delicate work also.. and I wish they would use slightly thicker wire

I wonder if you or someone could mass-mod some cartos?
