I'm currently using a Evic VTC Mini..
will definitely try the pancake wicking method hopefully I have good results from it. I've been doing sort of the kayfun style wicking method where I just keep the channels clear and stick the cotton towards the insulator area. I feel it's really similar to what I've seen on some video reviews so totally had no idea what was wrong. thx for the advice guys! do you place your coil at an angle? or just horizontal.

@cherriedd that is a good mod, small in hand, powerful. Pancake wick is easy if you follow RIP Tripper's method step by step and i think it wont be hard for you since you know kayfun style wick. My coil setting is horizontal. Not much of creativity. But if you want, u can try google, bunch of photos showing different coil setting and wicking. Vape on!

Lemo 2 base stuck on my mod again!
Love the Lemo 2, can't find a RTA that works better for me, and I've tried. I use caution not to over tighten and this still happens about monthly, just annoying.
I'll get the channel locks out tomorrow but getting tired of it.
Anyone know if a better tank with the same great features as the Lemo 2?

If you don't mind having a dual coil system, the Crius is basically the spiritual successor to the Lemo 2. It advances on the top fill system the Lemo 2 had and provides a much better wicking system with juice flow control and wider airflow adjustment.

I do really miss the single coil feature on the Lemo 2 - but since I've bought the Crius, my Lemo 2 has been sidelined specifically for menthol-type juices that are better in lower power settings. Although the Lemo 2 was my regular vape for months, I did encounter some leaking and wicking issues on it every once in while and it doesn't take high VG juice well since it's still using the Kayfun pressure system.

Also doesn't help that the black version never came :(.

I learned how to love my lemo 2 again. I always loved my lemo. Then these new tanks have just blown me away, the crius, Bellus, and the aromamizer are all tanks I've bought recently, and my lemo has been sitting. It really exposed the lemo 2, a great tank, for what I've seen as the major problem with it. Fiddley wicking with high vg. These new tanks wick like crazy. I love the top fill with the lemo, but even with my best wicking, it would still get a dry hit now and again with high vg. I could see an air bubble trying to escape, after a hit, but I had to hold the tank on its side to coax the bubble out. So I pulled out the Dremel and fixed it. This isn't the first time it's been done, it's not my idea, but it put this tank in my rotation. I opened the bottom of the juice channels by opening up the base of the deck sleeve. I wicked it normal, cut the tails about a mm short of the bottom of the deck, and filled it up. I chain vaped a tank of 70/30 ITC nilla gorilla to the bottom, without incident. I used it all day yesterday and today, and there's no gurgles or leaks, just perfect vape. 3mm Id 26 ga .6 ohm great at 40 watts, pushed it up to 55 to test the wicking, no issues. It's great again. I wouldn't go out and but another so I could Dremel, but it did make use of a great well built tank. It runs with the big boys again. If they release a lemo 3 I'll look hard at it. E leaf makes a nice tank. One thing, I cut a bit at a time until it got "perfect". If you run 50/50 or 60/40 I don't know if it will flood on you with this mod. It always wicked lower vg blends like a champ in its original design... Just thought I'd share!

I don't mind dual coil. I wrapped the Goblin perfect first try but I do appreciate top fill which it dosen't have. Having to take a micro screw, pin or plastic wrap out to fill several times a day, gets old.
You've got me excited with the Crius!!! I'll be ordering it, positively.
    Thanks a bunch!

It's a great tank. It really shines with thinner juices, if you run high vg, it sometimes has wicking problems. I like 3 mm coils, fluff the tails, and trim just short of the deck. It really has awesome flavor potential... Try some twisted 28 ga you'll probably like the flavor, and the tank can get fairly cloudy too...

I plan on running a 60VG/40PG with my next DIY mix. Does it need to be thinner? Recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Ok folks here is what I am doing on my first vape with the LEMO2:

I am vaping wide open with the stock coil and cotton at a reading of .52 ohms and 24 watts. I followed Busardo's wicking technique. Pulled the cotton up above the atty cover, trimmed it off, then pushed it back down with a flat head screw driver. There is a lot of cotton in the build that it comes with. I made sure I could see both screws and the top of the cotton was fluffed up. Primed it and quick fired it twice; then layed it down on its side to fill and zero leaks :)

The clouds, throat hit, and flavour are close to twice as good as any of my non RTA tanks. I want to thank suprtrkr for all his input. Best 35 dollars I have yet to spend on vaping! So far, so very good!
