For a time, whenever I ordered stuff I would throw in whatever unpopular atty was on sale for under ten bucks. Got a few decent pieces that way and a few that needed heavy modification to get going right.

Haven't yet dual coiled my L2 but I'll get to it lol. I wouldn't buy another even if it was less than ten bucks but it does the business well enough.

I ordered one for $12 even though I hate the tank. Make it cheap enough and people will buy it. I still feel like the $12 was a complete waste of money, but hey, I can say I have the most worthless RTA ever produced.

You're statement Boggles my mind, Unless of course you were joking and I'm just too dense to pick up on it.

I ordered the lemo 2 and started using it last night. All I can say is Wow, just wow. Talk about sweet. Easy fill, no leaks. I love the preinstalled coil. I wonder if it is stainless steel?

It's supposed to be, but whether it is 303, 304, or 316 Stainless Steel I don't know. What the difference is in all those different grades is for one thing, some grades are supposed to be easier to machine than others, hence are lower cost to make, but other than that I don't know.
Oh, maybe you were asking about if the COIL was Stainless ? No, I think the coil is Kanthal, 24 or 26 gauge, but I have always wondered if it was maybe Nichrome 80 because of the shiny appearance, non of my Kanthal A-1 has ever been shiny like that.

I believe the preinstalled coil is Nichrome.

That would not surprise me in the least. I have never seen anyone post that it was Nichrome (always Kanthal) except for you just now but, I have Not seen Kanthal shiny as what is in the Lemo (V1, V2, and the Drop) either. I have never had my hands on a piece of Nichrome so that's why I have been so noncommittal whenever anyone asked me, and since EVERYONE here has been saying Kanthal, I thought they would know better than I would, You Know.

I think I´ll stick to kanthal. Don´t really see the poiunt in TC. I don´t get dry hits and like cooler vapes

calecamo,

There are two real advantages to TC mode: 1. Keep from generating harmful byproducts 2. You get cooler vapes from TC if you if you choose modest TC limits.

Eliminating dry hits is a pleasant advantage with TC but it is just a pleasant byproduct of the real design feature which is the health issue by preventing the overheating of your juice which generates harmful byproducts i.e. Formaldehyde.

And one advantage of TC that a lazy guy like myself can really appreciate is by using TC your coils and wicks will last much longer. :2c:

got myself a lemo 2 from a b&m.
threw out the pre-installed coil and did a 26g kanthal 2.5mm ID 8/9wraps.. wicked with muji Japanese cotton but I'm getting a really muted flavor vape out of it. really disappointed atm.
also I'm firing at like 40W?? is that a little too high. I've seen videos of people firing at 25w with decrnt vapor production and claiming amazing flavor.
I have no dry hits whatsoever though so shouldn't be my wicking? or could it be my wick is not saturated enough. have yet to try vaping without the wide bore drip tip as well. dont have my device with me currently :(
I've tried a 26g titanium coil in there spaced, ohming out to 0.5ohms and got a slightly better flavor of it with more vapor production. but i still feel like I'm not unlocking its full potential..
any help or suggestions pleaseee.
do I have to manage my expectations or smth cos my first RTA was a BILLOW v2 and it was freaking amazing in vapor and flavor department. but all the reviews are saying that LEMO 2 is a pretty darn good single coil RTA too..

Maybe you can try 26g double twisted kanthal, 3.0mm ID with 5/6 wraps. Coil would be slightly space and don't too high from the air hole. Use pancake wick (Search in youtube). Fire it around 22w or higher, no dry hits even chain vape.

Agree with Frederick. Try a 5/6 wrap. If you really want to hit 40w, you may need to go to 4/5 on 2.5mm. But may also depend on your mod. I would most likely burn an 8/9 wrap using 40w on my VS DNA40.

When I have flavor issues on the Lemo it is mostly due to poor wicking method. But will say I still prefer original Lemo over Lemo 2.
