I have both I'm swapping back and forth between them. I guess the obvious answer is you can see your juice with the vortex and it's SUPER easy to fill. The fluxos aren't bad to fill once you get a syringe with a needle, but I like not having to use a needle. I do use a pipette to fill the vortex because I'm a little clumsy.

The metal fluxos do feel sturdier, I've only had leaking problems with one of them because I took it apart and there's no inner gasket on the metal ones like the clear ones, so they may leak (it's a small leak and only one of the two I messed with do it). I posted earlier with my leaking experiences on the vortex, so that's good but I do wish I could keep a drip tip on them all the time as the caps are super loose.

Burning wise, I do get a little burn on the fluxos if I back to back hit them. A short rest of say 10-15 seconds in between hits usually takes care of that.

I've gotten burnt taste with the vortex but it doesn't to seem to happen so easily, and it seems to happen more with an ALF than without.

As for HW, I'm using an eGo USB PT, my juice is generally 80/20 or thereabouts, though I do have a 100% VG cinnamon that does well in a metal fluxo... don't try that in a vortex :)

To reseal your metal CE2...this stuff works great. Teflon Tape, Teflon Thread Sealant
And if you don't have of that in your toolbox...just mix up some flour or cornstarch paste and smear it on there.

for those of you that have tried the v-tex AND the fluxomizers...(stainless and/or black) how do these compare to them? i have the vortex's and would also like the fluzomizers but like many, im worried about the leakage and wicking problems on them. can someone shed some ligh on this for me please? thanks

I personally like the fluxomizers better, but that's mainly because they come in a lower resistance. I haven't noticed any wicking issues with the fluxos. They'll leak if the tube cracks but getting some of the stainless steel version will take care of that problem.

Middle of nowhere
Im having a long discussion with the factory on video right now, giving them a earfull and making some progress.

Kudos to you Bad.
Now that is customer service.
I admit I was one that had a few problems but I WILL still buy from them again. They have always be polite with me even if I did get frustrated a little.

I now have four of these workin' and, just like when I finally had that light bulb moment with ceramic cartos I can't for the life of me figure out why it took so long for me to grasp such a simple concept .

I know what it was. I read the ohms and assumed I could apply the voltage based on that alone and, no, these don't like heat. And, they don't really need it because...you know how the CE2 gives you that blast furnace/306 effect with its top coils? Well, these heat up juice with coils from below in a similar fashion so the vape is still warm. I actually dry burned one today exactly the same as I would a CE2 and refilled the clean tube with a different juice. (can we put that on the YAY! List along with opening them up without tools, please?)

Here's how I use these right out of the package and even after I've clumsily taken them apart, soaked them in alcohol and put them back together (don't try that at home kids - I'm crazy) :

  • Fill, avoiding hole in center tube
  • Use small battery mod or a vari power/volt set at equivalent of 3.6 to 3.7v
  • Replace included mouthpiece or try the filler ring trick in this video with a 510 drip tip YouTube - VapeTalk - GotVapes VORTEX VORTEX VORTEX
  • Fire and vape

Seriously, that's all there is to it. The ones I took apart have no ALFs (and I forgot what ALF even stands for but I remember that show...because I'm old) because once I pry the center post out and clean everything I can't get it to stay on and that's the only reason they're missing.

I'm going to email my feedback to GotVapes before my ISP goes out again but the only thing I'm missing is the greater oomph of higher voltage. I have an unopened one in the package and still need to figure out how to travel with these without the mouthpieces falling off and juice spilling out. I betcha somebody shared how they do it in this big thread but I'm too damn lazy to read back and find out.

Happy vapin'! :vapor:

danno, badkolo, and everyone else involved with this...

Nicely done. I am really enjoying these Vortexes I have been refilling and refilling and refilling all day since I got these yesterday (the 25th of April). Upon first fill of liquid into one of these I have had no complaints even if you happen to spill a little in the middle tube it just drains it onto the coil (or so I'm assuming?)... Either way, I am really glad like minded individuals have come together to try and address better stability in the world of vaping. Thank you so much for your efforts.

On another note, I did pull one apart after using some 70% PG 30% VG - Tasty Vapor Boston Creme Liquid (Sweetener added) ... Because initially it started lingering a burning taste just ever so subtle. So I stopped. And said to hell with it, and dumped the liquid down the drain... Pulled this one a part at the battery bottom end with my fingernails... With a little pressure it came off... I removed the filler (AFT? or whatever it's called), cleaned the tube, put it all back together put some more liquid from Tasty Vapor it was tasting great initially after that... But, not long after it started tasting dry again... Then, after that a few moments of that... It started tasting good again. So it's a fickle thing with thick nic liquids like Tasty Vapor...

But!

The very first Vortex I had opened and put in your very own Haiwan Kerpow (which is very tropical and tasty by the way) is still working amazingly after I dunno.. 8 refills, in one day?

Nicely done Gotvapes peoples. So it'll be a couple of months on the 510 connection one eh?

Yup after 3 or 4 days of using these my verdict is AWESOME! Took a minute to make a small change to make them work. But been filling many times and dry burning multiple times. These are the best vape I've had. Chain vaping all day with no dry or burned hits. That has never happened with any other product. I haven't even been using my expensive mods lately. All I need is a standard 808 bat. Can't say I was happy using standard bats before these vortex. These are as exciting as my jump from filler cartos to ce2's. These are very close to plug and play. Can't be happier. I have a lot of screwdrivers and pointy things lying around from using ce2's that I don't need any more...

#3 out of the box had a cracked center cup...

It now has become the perfect juice tester. As someone else posted I put only the outer tube back on and drip a couple of drops onto the wick with a dropper and I can test the flavor of a new juice. Then dry burn until clean and try the next flavor. This was great because I had a couple of flavors I didn't like and was able to mix them all together in varying ratios until I came up with something I could vape.

I think I will rip the base on this one apart to see if the coil can be replaced successfully. If so, then I'm off to tinker world to try some custom coils.:2cool:

One issue I have had, and this may be the cause of some of the center hole leaking issues, is that I get a lot of condensate buildup in the center cup. If I take it off of the battery after chain vaping this condensate will pool in the bottom after a little while and start coming out the hole. Once this starts, a siphon effect takes place and it starts pulling the juice out of the main tank through the wick. If I set it on it's side after vaping this does not happen. So, we need to come up with a way to purge the condensate out of the center cup. I tried blowing it out but that didn't work because most of it sits at the top of the cup where the center tube sticks down a bit. Making this flush may improve this but i think it may have been designed this way to keep the condensate out of the center tube. another issue with the condensate is that when it builds up enough to where it hits the wick my flavor goes completely off.
