Just got mine in from Vaportek. Nice looking tanks! Smaller than my Richman. Can't believe how much juice it holds. Still debating on switching out the wick for ecowool or cotton. Stock coil metered out to 1.09. Still gonna throw a micro on it, prolly around 0.9 ohms. Got it for a gift but this will give me practice for when my Russian 91% comes in. This is a really good looking tank though. I've only had experience building genny's up to this point. The wicks that came with this seem to be pre-oxidized (1 pre-built and 1 in the spare parts bag)

Link please.

Also if it really is like the Taifun GT from which it was cloned...PBusardo loves it with a SS Mesh wick and an ecowool flavor wick. Check his reaction to that combo in his video review of the Taifun GT.

Here is the link as posted by Vapor Joe but they sold out pretty fast. I bought 2. One for my cousin, the other for a homie. Gonna microcoil both and use the stock wick
Fogger Clear Tank

next day went up on gotsmok for $5 cheaper. Act fast!

Looks like silica or something inside the mesh wick

I don't know if it's needed. Seems like it's there to hold the wick and coil in place for transit, but in the vid at the beginning of this thread that guy rebuilds it with silica and doesn't put the o-ring back on before reassembly. Although he is speaking some European language and may be saying, "Whoa, it's gurgling and flooding like hell!" and I wouldn't know the difference, lol.

Does anyone know why the stock coil is 2 wires twisted together? NR wire isn't required for this build is it? I was assuming it's set-up is similar to a KF

The manufacturer twisted the wires to comply with the low ohm craze. But they don't have thicker wire so they twisted thin wire. Common move by users but now manufactures are doing it.

I'm most definitely holding out for V2, AND I noticed last night that FreE-Cigs.com has them on order. Went into their B&M this afternoon and Kevin told me they hope to have them in stock late next week, if not the following week....priced between $35-$40. They just opened their first B&M last week, and they're doing it right. Refreshing to find such reasonable pricing in a retail shop...and even better not to have to wait for shipping anymore. So naturally, I'll be pounding down their door once it arrives :) Not sure why, but I'm really psyched about this one.

Well I rewrapped them using the same wicks. 28 guage 6 wrap. One came out to 0.9 ohms, the other at 1.0 ohms. Wick fits pretty snug. I don't have a mech mod right now to pulse the coils and try it out. Hope I'm not choking the wick. Although these are gifts for friends, I still wish the plexi was pyrex or glass. Still a great looking tank and will make a great starter RBA.

Ok, I have had mine for a couple days now FT version 1.(from akavapers) I tore it completely down even unscrewing the bottom section below the posts. I dont know why or how but from what I can tell the only air flow is through the center post at the bottom. I cany find a vid or pictures of this section and may have it put back together wrong but the way I see it, as soon as you put it on a mod the air flow is blocked. WTH have I done to this little cheap thing? Some one drop me a clue? and putting it back together is a !@#$%^&* the rubber insulator is a !@#$%^&* and there isnt a second one in the spare parts bag

The way your post is worded, it is unclear if you actually have air flow problems or you just think you will. Have you actually tried it? It should be like a Vivi Nova in that even through screwed into a 510 connection the air will still flow through the center post.

As far as pictures go, see if these help at all:

If you could see whats under the coil it might make more sense. I have an air flow problem. I dont know if I put it back together wrong but i am getting no air flow from any where but the center post. As soon as it make contact I have no air flow. That and the design is horrible. If you unscrew to refill the center air flow post, the coil cap, and the coil base all have the potential to unscrew and leave juice every where. I believe that is the reason for the V2 to come out so quick with air flow control and a fill hole to address those exact problems

First, what are you putting in on? Some mods do not play well with center post air feeders. Provari is one of them. There are no air holes in the ring around the threads. So if you screw a center post air topper on flush then there is no air flow. The iTaste SVD doesn't have this problem since they provided air holes in that ring.

Second, that whole "remove the whole topper, turn upside down, unscrew the base and fill upside down", design is the same as an EVOD or ProTank. Yeah you do have to make sure you are unscrewing the right thing.

Does it have grooves cut into across the bottom of the base like in this picture?
taifun_gt_rba_fogger_clone_gotsmok-660x330.jpg
Note the position of the air hole on the side of the 510 threads in the picture in post #73, the hole is low, it's even into the threads. It should be above the threads like in the picture in this post.
