Yes, this is the greatest thing Imeo will be doing for his gg user's EXCEPT, when he invented the GGTS. That can't be topped IMO

Agreed...the TS is the MOST VERSATILE device available. Many many mods in one awesome package! I can only imagine what VIR will bring to the table. And now, people will get to experience it without the stress and anxiety that comes with trying to get one. Happy days for GG fans!

as I see it I will start GGTS preorders after my holidays Perfect. I was planning to leave for 3 days but a friend told me that I have to leave for more. So I will come back at 20 of August. Machine shop opens again at 25 of August, so at 27 or 28 of August I can start the GGTS preorders:)
Imeo, I had a similar question, would their be a set amount of time the pre-order is open for? I have had similar problems trying to pick up a GGTS and this change in policy could fix my issue. I travel a lot and spend a lot of time with out electronics due to the nature of my work which means I stock up on Juice, Atty's and batteries before I leave and my re-order if I get computer access. I seem to travel EVERY time GGTS's come to COV (last 4 runs) and find out that I missed the run...I am afraid this run will be missed too, and it will be months before the next batch. So, I do like this idea, just curious when it will start. I hope to land a GGTS and Oddy sometime...I have worn the anodizing off my REO.

ok, I understand now unloaded. :)

Machine shop has the ability to make more GGTS outside its store. He has 10 CNC machines now but he can put an order to another cnc shop as quick as possible. So in 2,5-3 months max I can have more than 5000 GGTS. Of course I cant have 25.000 GGTS lol
I was afraid that might happen. Rather than taking pre-orders for a certain length of time (1 week), take them for a certain number of orders (1000 GGTS in my example). When 1000 are ordered that batch goes to production and a new pre-order starts for the next batch.

1000 units is just a number I pulled out of the air. I don't know what number would be most manageable for you. If you took orders for a week and 25,000 were ordered would you be able to handle it? Would the machinist? The raw material supplier? The first couple of batches might sell out very quickly, but I'd rather be waiting for the batch I'm in on to sell out rather then see you get overwhelmed by demand thats greater than you expect. I think the inital orders will be about like the current pre-orders and go very quickly, but putting limits on them will protect you.

I see that all of you agree to the preorder style. Thanks a lot guys:)

Maybe this style will stop me from inventing new things often because I will focus more on production. But what if I invent something and only a few people can have it?

I dunno about that. I say you keep it the same then. Focus on new things becuase you come up with such great ideas. Eventually everybody will get the GG items they desire

Imeo, That is great, I will definitely get my pre-order in for that batch. I hope that Oddy will be available in a close time frame, I am tired of buying atty's, look forward to building my own. I admire your work Imeo...true craftsmanship and each piece a work of art, can't wait to own one.

Cheers,
Huston

This is great news I will look forward to it. :D The pre-orders will go through you? Or go through your sellers?

As I see it, you already have the perfect PV ( and this is before VIR), and with Ody and Penelope, nearly perfected the atomizer. Go full production on these things, and smaller production on experimental projects for further refinement.
No one would expect your creative genius to come to a halt...things like this cannot be stopped. In fact with this system, you will have more time for your creativity because you will no longer be spending your time constantly answering the same questions over and over. When will you make this or that etc.

I don't think anything will stop you from inventing new things - your mind is always thinking of the next gg product.

Well, I just have to say this. What is better than a new GGTS w/Brass Accents-Nothing

imeo,

i think it gives you the best of both worlds.

with pre orders, predicting demand and maximizing profit margin will be much more accurate. if you do this then you can satisfy costumer demand and not lay out extra working capitol for a guess on what costumers "may" want. you can do runs only on what the costumer base is willing to pay for. (extras can be added to each run to account for consumer base growth and shipped to there respective distributors based on what the distributors are willing to commit to as far as inventory is concerned)

new products can be invented , then tested for acceptance on the existing costumer base (through the preorder system) then ramped up for future production runs accurately with the preorder/ reserve / pre pay system in place.

this will allow you to create new products as fast as you want without the fear of not selling through a run or overcommitting time and resources on a design that the costumer base may not be receptive to, willing to pay for or ready to commit to.

let me use this example:
1. an artist paints a picture (i consider you an artist:))
2. fans like it and want to buy prints (pre orders taken)
3. first run of prints goes out
*** this is the area where profiteers operate and will always be able to take advantage of impatient consumers, but they are at the highest risk because they are gambling on what the demand/impatience level will be in a very narrow window of profit opportunity, i say let them do what they want***
4. announcement is made of the cut off date in the future for more prints
5. prepay/reserve list starts.(distributors can add as many prints to the run as they are willing to make finacial comitment to)
6. second run of prints goes out.
7. repeat steps 4-6 as long as you want

this formula creates a relatively risk free business environment for you, and your distributors wile satisfying costumer demand.

i wont type here how this formula can be used to leverage capitol, distributor discounting, consumer capitol or the 100 other ways this method can increase profit margins and give the manufacturer financial stability. that would piss off every costumer here and most of the distributors, but im sure you can see the other leverage points.;)

ultimately you are running a business and whatever you do you MUST maintain stability and profitability for future growth and success.

im sure i speek for all here that we want to enjoy your artistry and products for a long time to come.

Maybe you are right River. We will do it like this and we will see how it will go. But I think its the best way.

GGTS is and it was 2 years before too the perfect mechanical e-cig, no doupt. But GG series have to be the best on all levels. So I am waiting anxiously for the VIR to put it inside.

Imeo, that is really great that you want to do it and I'm sure it will add allot more work for you and expenses but also allot of new happy customers.
you also need time for yourself and your
Family.
I hope you enjoy your vacation.

Are you going to make more parts too?
Brass tubes, caps etc.

More devices = more customers needing parts.
Lol
