Okay, so it is indeed answered in this forum as suspected. So it looks like it will be just an add-on. That's good news. Just pulling this info forward for anyone else who might be wondering.

To clarify my previous answer, we are making an additional 510 connection which can be used to the current Heron, not a whole new base and it shall be offered separately as a spare, later this month.

Hmm, different drip tip to match the exposed o-rings, no fluff, X converter, glass tank and drilled holes to create a slot, but why did you remove the AFC ring?

Can anyone measure the thread length on the Heron for me (distance from bottom of threads/body to where the threads stop)?
I've got a Holy Lands Ant on the way and I'm, trying to figure out if the Heron will fit it. It's female threads are pretty shallow though...

The rest of the Heron sans the deck ring, the tube, the bell and the drip tip. On Vapourday, we'll have it as spare. I will update the description with photos and price the next days. I'll check our repository on Monday, whether we've produced enough spare deck rings to have one included with the purchase of a base, so you can experiment with it.

Great, I'll keep my eye on the site. I'm not sure how I would use it without the deck ring? I would not be able to put a cap on it without the ring, would I ?
I am interested in experimenting with the cotton topper too though...
