I just got to thinking. If you had enough cotton coming through the hole to block it off would you even need to use fluff? I wonder if Perseas has tried this yet? Assuming its sealed well it should hold a good vacuum and keep the juice from pouring out everywhere. hmmmmm

I was thinking this as well, especially where as it seems very much sealed off with the o-ring at base and bell.

Yeah, so long as all the seals are tight and the vacuum holds I don't see there being an issue with setting it up like that. I should also note that I have no issues using the GP fluff to hold the juice. It would just be pretty handy if it worked well without it.

The perimeter of the topper doesn't seal the main body, so it won't work without fluff.
