I just see friends ragging on each other the way that friends do.

Back from the docs. Everything looks good, tests that were done in the ER look great. I have some balance exercises to do that will strengthen my inner ear balance thingy. Since it was a one time episode, just the exercises for now. If it happens again then more in depth testing will be required.

Pretty much what I figured.

I'll live :)

The memory loss was probably from the drug that starts with a 'V'. I have a low tolerance for drugs.

Going back a ways for this one:

Robin, so glad to hear you got a clean bill of health from the Dr.s. I can relate to the inner ear problems about balance as I suffer from it too. (Sinus infection that went to the ear clogging everything up for a while. Still have a lot of ringing in that ear.)

Since Dusty 'shared' his thoughts earlier; Am I being a Grumpy Old Man today ? I'm used to going several hundreds of miles a day, but today I'm going from the bedroom to the bathroom, and of course, the dining table for Mamaw's Breakfast. (Eggs, Bacon, scratch Biscuits and Homemade Gravy). Being snowed in is frustrating....

No. Usually starts as a twinge under my right rib, then develops quickly into a gripping/squeezing constant (not throbbing) in my bread basket. When palpated, the pain is centered upper right (my right) quadrant. Your description otherwise is accurate. :)

its not an alien implant gone bad ITS the ALIEN!!! RUNNN!!!!!

It does sound like GB. That pain does not let up.....at all! It was the first time, and hopefully the last time, I ever had a rocking pain. The kind where all you can do is curl up and just rock.

Get that gallbladder yanked.

I tell ya tha GALL of that bladder to inflict pain like that...

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to make that comment. That would be Bronze on the right, I am on the left. By the way, where is the General ? Isn't he the one always blabbering about putting out an 'APB' when someone doesn't check in ?

Should have said this already. Morning, Army! :) Coffee brewed. Vape in hand. Sitting at my command center (read: PC desk. lol) watching a winter wonder land forming. Looks pretty now. By tomorrow morning, it's going to be a disaster. This is the view from my front porch as I look out the window this morning:

yup a winter wonderland at that...... make one wonder why live in a land like that during winter.... the ducks fly south ;)

Bridget or April, do you know anything about Ativan?
I just had a very interesting visit with our landlord and a couple of stories about his stay at the same hospital where I went to the ER.

Seems as though my memory loss is not an uncommon occurrence at this place.....

Ativan is similar to valium used to calm nerves and makes one sleepy

and for some weird reason its used in alcohol poisoning cases... I think ... could be quite wrong..

It seems as though this hospital likes to .....dispense it quite freely. Ya know.....to keep patients calm and controlled :sneaky:

Awesome news, Chak! How long are you going to be stateside? My folks fly in around mid-june and I'm planning a trip to Nawlin's after that.. Would be awesome to hook up!!

Wow, that would be so kewl! So I take it they'd be coming through LAX. I haven't worked out the details yet, but I have a feeling my time there might be rather limited - due to several factors like taking time off work, leaving Mama Chak & MIL at home, etc. (Mama Chak doesn't travel well these days - two hour trips to the beach put back all out of whack; 17 hours on a plane would kill her.)

I'm thinking a week, maybe 10 days max. (If I'm lucky) I'll know more when we get closer to booking time, which won't be till the end of April.

PS, Thanks, we're real excited!!!

Although my son has been "cooking" things for a while...(he can make toaster oven pizza rolls and an awesome PB&J sandwich)...I have been stepping it up a notch with him because of Robin and Retic mentioning it. I mean sometimes it's easier to just do it myself. But he made his entire bacon, egg and cheese sandwich this weekend with my direction and he puffed all up with pride!! Tonight I made him help me. It offers us some one-on-one time together and it's been awesome. My son is an awesome cook! And he's learning from a good one I think. ;) And she learned from the BESTEST! My Mom cooks her hiney off...........and she learned it from HER Mom who was the best cook around until she had my Mom! And she even admitted it...that my Mom blows her out of the water. My son is really enjoying it.

:)

That is cool too RJ! Loved cooking stuff with my daughter too. She's one of the only people in the house that would even try my western style cooking. Mama Chak loves my BLT and Club sands, though. :2cool:
