Got something like this one instead: Magnifying Glass with light save mine has a stand, no clamp. Then I have a mini vice that clamps on the desktop to hold stuff to free up the other hand.

Afternoon all. Hey IGWell the hearing test shows I can hear below 40 decibels in one ear. Which means I have my DOT card and can go to work tomorrow. But the test also shows that I'm not so good with voice recognition (already knew that) and recommends that I think about getting a hearing aid. So made an appointment for next month to talk about it. I'll have to get one sooner or later.
just tell them your voice recognition is just as good as most smart phones...

You sound like my Dad when I was coming up. I'd get smacked for doing something my brother did and when I called him on it he'd just say, "Makes up for the times you got away with s**t". My Dad did not apologize to kids. They were a much lower form of human in his eyes.
I don't think they're lower life forms by any means, but I won't ever apologize for discipline. Most of the kids I know are completely undisciplined and you know it right away. I was taught a different form of respect and I want nothing more than to pass that on if they learn nothing else from me. There's no place in the real world for spoiled brats. Don't get me wrong either, they absolutely know I love them and will be there for them anyway I can, but my goal is to make them responsible for their own actions and to know how to stand on their own.

Chloe is scared to death of me, yet I am her partner and her cuddle daddy. Perfect relationship to have with a single child who would have a tendency to be spoiled..
She's reading fairy tales to me, while I feed her dinner. I've confiscated her iPad until we get on the flight to India, because she was abusing the privilege of using it.

Nothing wrong with kids having a bit of fear of their parents. IMO.
Depends on the type of hearing loss. My mom has them, less than a year old, and can't hear sheet.

Welcome to the new years, that we have to suffer through. Children crying for more from anyone they can get it from. The State, Feds, ETC. Ok I'm done with this. It just ticks me off, to see how our youth has grown up.
