If anyone has any wifi questions ask away (including some of the latest and greatest) I've been researching and experimenting ad nauseum the last week and delved into it a lot more than I ever wanted (certainly not by choice). But like everything else, once I want or need to fix something it's all over for me. I need to know everything about it. But you better ask soon before I start forgetting it and move on to something else. :)

I sure hope that's "all" it is, Pop. A prayer going out your way. retic can tell you all about the possible consequences of arthritis in the neck/spinal column. Speaking of which, how you doing retic?
It's slowly getting better as far as the wound is concerned , the jury's still out on whether I get feeling back .

I think it can take a year or more before that case can be settled. I know people who are gaining feeling two and three years later after spinal surgery. It's a slow healing process. For now I suspect you're happy just having the pain subside.

When can you go back to work (if you can work)?

No idea yet . If I'm upright too long my back still screams at me , can't wait for that to go away .

I had some recent unpleasant pain and tingling (not severe) in my arm and into my hand. I applied ice to the back of my neck and upper spine. It brought down the inflammation and swelling there and no more pain tingling in my hand and arm. It wouldn’t be unheard of for neck issues to show up elsewhere. Sending up prayers for you - and Mamaw!

@76bridget - I think you are an angel. Taking in your “extra” was something many would not be willing to do.
Thanks so much. It wasn't easy, especially at first. Court, angry (yet completely pathetic) parents, $$. She's happily playing cards right now with a girlfriend. It was totally worth it.

Papaw- get the MRI. I have a bulging disc between C6 and C7. Gives me numbness in my hand and arm. Staying fit helps keep it in check, and the fact that I injured it in my 20s so I healed better then. It rarely flares up now.

The doctor seems to think it's in my neck. I still think it's in my hand. It would not surprise me if the MRI turns out to be a waste of time and money.

you would be suprized that a pinched nerve elsewhere can cause things to go wacko in different parts of the body...
I have a situation as to where a nerve gets pinched in my neck and causes migraine intensity headaches only on the right side of my head.... eyeball feels like its going to explode out of the socket, sinus ( right side only) gets severely stuffed up and painful, and there is an intense throbbing in the right temple area, I have difficulty seeing, I become sick to my stomach...
If I hold my head to the left ( tilted towards the shoulder) and rub the right side of my neck, the headache goes away in 15-30 minutes... before I figured out it was a pinched nerve, I was treating things as if it was a severe sinus condition which really didnt make sense since it was just one side only... why wasnt it both sides???

the wifey has a pinched nerve in her back but it produces severe pain in her leg and her foot goes numb ( loss of control) and burns...
