The doctor seems to think it's in my neck. I still think it's in my hand. It would not surprise me if the MRI turns out to be a waste of time and money.
Two docs thought I had carpal tunnel , the MRI proved them wrong , best to know one way or the other .

FYI - dna test came back 0.0, meaning, it's definitely not my sons child.

That was so fast wasn't it? I never imagined a dna test would take three and a half days..

@retic1959 - don't worry, it can take a while to heal fully.. it's not been long enough, let your body take the time it needs now. :)

    Patience is key.

    @DavidOH - no dogs for me. :)

@Bronze - some things are above my pay grade. .. I know enough to get by.. :) besides, when some people think they know how to "fix" things the next thing you hear is "I think I broke the WiFi" which in turn takes out the cellphone signal and leaves others wondering how many hours before an appointment can be made for a tech. .

    Lol..

    They came and went.
Young people don't want to hear old people complain about which body part hurts today.

Indeed. My first job was in a health food store. I was 15 and studied everything about our products because it was so fascinating. Elderly ladies would come in and describe their health issues and ask for supplements that might help. I loved listening to them and recommending things to try. Before long they’d be telling me what they had for meals that day, and about their lives. I felt honored they’d want to talk to a punk like me! My best friend at the time was near her 70’s. Times sure have changed.

Excellent! The timings you mentioned didn't add up anyhow anyway. Sounds like they were trying it on.

Opinionated I am glad that the dna test came out in your son's favor.

Lori, that robot did freak me out. I've watched a ton of sci-fi movies and shows. As far as I'm concerned the people who play with this kind of thing are like having a toddler grabbing a chemistry set and a blow torch, with nobody to supervise. I shudder at the possibilities.

was listening to the radio while driving and the topic was spanking kids and how it made them mean... and more prone to be aggressive towards others later in life...

ummm... a well behaived, obidient, well mannered kid rarely gets spanked while obnoxious ill mannered, ill tempered kids seem to deserve a good .... smack... my feelings on this... just maybe personality is developed early in life and if one turns out mean, its because they were mean to begin with and spanked for being so... maybe its not a cause and effect thing but more a pre existing condition and means to control the issue... basically, bad early, bad forever??

I’m gonna have to agree on your observation. I know I was more than spanked - intensely so and more awful stuff than I want to get into here. If their theory was right, I should be a ferocious bully and maybe behind bars. There’s a big difference between loving correction and abuse. But it can’t be done anymore unless you want to lose your kids or worse.

Also, just my limited observation, but kids do arrive with a lot of their temperament in place. Maybe it boils down to whether one is teachable or not. I don’t know. I do know there’s no way I’d want to be raising kids right now. The whole deck is stacked against parents. And everything ends up being the parents’ fault, especially the mom’s. Personal responsibility is not valued or believed in anymore IMHO.

Me too. I only remember one day my mother didn't swipe me round the face or bang my head against a concrete wall......

So much sorrow and wrong-doing. You didn’t deserve that - no one does. But we refused to follow those nasty footsteps. We sure proved those silly social engineers wrong! Their theories make it all worse and we end up with snowflakes who crumble at any little difficulty. It’s a fine mess. Still - there’s always reason to hope.

My mom was capable of dropping our drawers anywhere we were getting out of line and giving our butts a suntan on the spot. Knowing this, it was amazing how few times I got spanked when I was a little feller.

Good morning Army. Have a wonderful Friday. You too Pop. Stay out of Mamaw's way. :)

Good Morning Army. Sat up last night to watch night football, first time in years. I made it to the end of the third quarter, which means I didn't see Brees and Peyton blow it in the end.
I am fairly convinced the doctor doesn't know me as well I know me, and is overlooking my arthritic condition. I still think it's my hand, and not my neck. But I now have until the 18th to think about it.
Lori, I must politely disagree on one point. It's Dad's fault. Many times the father isn't around, or isn't allowed to be around. (the way our servicemen overseas are treated in divorce court is just not right). Even when the father is around, he naturally assumes the role of authoritarian and disciplinarian. Mom gets to be the nurturing role. Unless it's only Mom, then she is faced with the monumental task of doing it alone. Then she has to assume both roles, which is trying on everyone involved, even the kids. And it becomes the Man's fault for not being there.
    Off my soapbox now...

Have a Safe and Blessed Day :)

PaPaw... the one item you mentioned that has us thinking that it leans towards nerve issues is the loss of control/mobility/NUMBNESS... standard arthur-itis is a local disturbance and rarely causes control issues, alot of pain and loss of grip strength etc is common
